but my guess is that all he cares about is that UCLA handled all the AZ teams

Lol
You are definitely mistaken.

Luke Walton is an assistant coach for the GSW, that's the only reason Bill is invested in that team. Just like he was when Luke was at Arizona.

You're obviously clueless on this stuff, or just baked out of your mind NTTAWWT :-)
Can't believe I got trolled by someone on the flames thread...
first time I'd even checked it out. Searched "Arizona" and your Kerr quote came up.

Later dudes! Won't be back! Enjoy.

Ps

Bill Walton was a star at USC. ;-)

"Can't believe I got trolled by someone on the flames thread..."

Kinda like goin' to heaven and findin' no virgins.

Or to the moon and findin' no cheese.

It's a shock at first.

What's that they say about visiting teams, zBrown>

"We don't care if they never come back..."

Well, as host of this thread, I do care, just like David Curry cared, that his guests return and bring their friends.

This is nearing "bad dream status." After yesterday's run-around, I can't take much more crap from well-intended people who are screwin' me around.

Really, Jefe, I just beef-rendered you on Face-a-Booka, and this is what happens?

It's not like anyone went out and poached one of your projects.

But go if you must, come back if and when you want, and don't forget to wipe your shoes on the mat.

^Don't leave please. We need more basketball fans.

Matt Yoder didn't say whether it was University or State, both or some other group of Arizona fans.

A couple days ago we learned about a petition put forth by Arizona fans to ban Bill Walton from broadcasting their games.

Anyway my mistake [may have been] a typo. :)

You probably won't believe this (either jefe or mfm) but I at one time had the moniker T-Bone 'Arizona Highways' Walkabout.

It's a good thing Fareak is "just a boulderer."

That way, he can't hurt anyone.

Fangs IN! About FACE!

No, wait!

If the audience is sleeping, so what? They already paid the ticket price.

We could sit up here on our stage and make Cyranic remarks about him as he dozes, record it, and sell it to Mtn Proj.

Or somethin?

We shall exploit him!

Better than causing the reversal of a Custer decision, any day!

And easier to boot.

CMac would probably not approve. Topic is still on the table, though.

Life's abstractions form distractions.

Never having taken a good photo, written a kind word or a good poem or told a funny story, I'll leave you to judge me as you would yourselves.

Meanwhile, see that high point way up there? I'm peeing on you as I type, Fareak.

Adams was probably helped by a burro in many of his photographing jaunts. What is a jaunt without a companion? A solo.
His burro cost him twenty, he said he sold it for ten.
He returned the next year, what did he do then?
He doesn't say, but he probably got her back the next year and so on.

In them days, a man had a hard time trying to live the season in the Valley with no job. Dirtbagging wasn't very common--they called them what they were, bums.

Ansel got lucky.

"In 1919 I had learned that the custodian was not to return the coming year [to the LeConte Memorial, owned by the Sierra Club] so I joined the Sierra Club and applied to its great leader, Mr. William E. Colby, for the job. Colby, an attorney who specialized in mining law, was the chairman of the California State Parks commission. He had led the Sierra Club since the death of John Muir in 1914. Fortunately, Mr. Colby was understanding of my enthusiasm and, in spite of my callow youthfulness, I was hired as the custodian."--Ansel Adams: An Autobiography.

"A youthful San Franciscan, with musical ambitions, was caretaker of the LeConte Lodge in 1918 [might be a misprint, might be SS got her dates wrong]. 'Once Mother Curry asked me to play the piano for her,' he said. 'Several times I attended some of the evening entertainment; they were occasionally good.'

...the once isolated LeConte Lodge stood in the way of expansion as the Currys wanted to build bungalows around it, to which plans the Sierra Club objected. Mother Curry settled the problem by paying the Gutleben Brothers Construction Company $3,500 to move the memorial to a new site a half mile west. In 1919 Phil Gutleben found the stone walls impossible to remove intact so he took the roof and some of the stones to utilize in a replica. Walls, floor, and steps remained in Camp Curry providing a picturesque spot for romance."--Innkeepers of Yosemite, by Shirley Sargent

I have been to the summit of Winchell and LeConte boulder and Starr King, but never tried Gray Peak or Red Peak and stopped short on Clark.

As father's day approaches, maybe it's time to grant a [very] little forgiveness to the fluke.

Afterall he has mastered one finger typing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A singular feat after the years of abuse and/or neglect he suffered at the hands of one (or more) of his suspected fathers. Buttfrouking by some guy who might be your dad is something you don't get used to, no matter how often it occurs.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. - A popular hiking trail in Chula Vista was closed Thursday, but 10News learned hikers might have been trespassing for years.

City crews installed new gates and new signs warning hikers that the San Miguel Mountain Trailhead does not lead to a trail at all.

A sign at the base of the trail reads "Sensitive Habitat Area, Entry Prohibited," with a Spanish version of the sign also posted.

However, 10News reporter Joe Little learned that hikers have ignored the sign for years.

An easement has been created I believe.

Hikers there are rare now, and it is visited only by a few idolatrous souls. And maybe we could charge admission? Just wonderin'.

I got to speak with Larry Jones today. His Barb's been gone two years today.

I was the last of her friends to speak with her or visit her. It was a moving conversation, he providing an ear for my woes, and I lending one to his.

There is a vast gulf in our respective resources.

We retain, however, an instant rapport based on years of intimate associations: The Flames, rooming together, living in the same cities, and listening to the same music, not to mention having done some climbing together, etc.).

I told him the tale of trying to make it to my appointment in Palo Alto the other day--it never came about, the bus situation is a total SNAFU, and I'm going to have to change my approach to this climb, it seems.

I may take a while to get there, but it's critical to do so, so I shall overcome the obstacles, and Larry has offered to help if the way I mean to try next fails.

In the old Flames days, I'd have just stolen a short and driven over to PA, stolen another to drive home. But that's not real, I assure you.

What is real, based on studies that Larry and I conducted this afternoon, is still the last reel of this vintage motion picture. Yep, he introduced me to the Firesign Theater back in the sixties!

I am keeping a level head about the whole situation. There are reasons which only the Lord knows why this transportation system of the VA sucks so badly. It's mostly just lack of volunteers to do the driving, likely. So I need to work it from that end, the drivers' availability (the tail) will have to wag the dog (appointment times).

Larry kindly offered a place to stay, passage to his place on the train, down to PA on public transit (several ways to go), and a pallet on the floor of his huge house, now just himself and the two dogs.

The dogs enjoyed themselves immensely, Larry said, on the trip he took with his brother to the Escalante country, the Burr Trail, specifically, (have to google that one), and around the state of Utah and the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

He sent me some shots of a place called The Cairns, named for MH2, I believe.

Larry continues playing with the ukelele group and appearing here and there at musical venues in the East Bay.

He and Throwpie are not friends like myself and Throwpie, but it would be good for them to contact one another...they're only minutes away from each other on the 580.

[Click to View YouTube Video]Jaqui McShee's voice only gets better.

"Wow! I like her voice much more than on the original. She is now adding a sort of breathy slur that is wonderful and better than the absolutely true, clear, pitch-perfect approach she used at the start. This softens her delivery and greatly adds to the song."

[Click to View YouTube Video]Solstice at 9:38 a.m., PDT.

It's not a sunrise thing if you have clocks, only if you don't, as at Stoned Henge.

They were not allowed to speak, play, climbon, or benear beneath the stones while the dragoons accosted the rising sol.

The droopids were not stoopids. Droopid kids were trouble, but not on the DAY.

Have an enjoyable fatherhood, Father's Day, you rascally father-figure, and when they smile, love them. But when they frown at your climbing antics, love them more and act normal, even though it's not your "bent."

And don't forget to boogie. There is a boogie for darned near everything.

Happy Solstice, Happy US Open, and Happy Fathers' Day.
