Yes to all of those, less the travel thing.
But, better transportation infrastructure could help. We are too car dependent.
I've closed off two large rooms at my place, no heat in them, simply to reduce heating costs in the winter. Plus, less is more.
One thing I store in those rooms is an AC unit. I'm ok with my house being 90 at night in the summer. It's only natural.
Also, I keep my thermostat at 60 in the winter. Wear a sweatshirt.

I don't own a TV.
i live in a 500 sq ft apartment.
I went 53 days over the summer w/o filling my gas tank in my truck (it gets not so great mileage to begin with). I went about the same after that except SushiFest cut it short.
I recycle.
I ride my bike.
I fart less than Ron because I have a better diet.
I don't buy water in plastic water bottles.
I don't run an AC unit in the summer until inside temps hit 85
I go to the farmers market every saturday and buy as much local organic produce as I need for the week.
My full-time work is 100% computer related.
I could go on.
I've been making these efforts for over 25 years.

But 3500 acres of solar panels ISNT taking care of our lands. Putting up huge windmills ISNT taking care of our lands or wildlife.
Ron, I suppose this is where you show us photos of the Valdez and Deepwater Horizon tragedies to demonstrate what it means to care for our wildlife and lands?

C'mon now, I'm sure Ron doesn't like seeing environmental disasters any more than anyone else.
I get the impression that his love for nature is large.
It's his policy choices that frustrate me.

For me:
2 in a 900 sq ft home.
1 of us drives to work the rides a bike year-round.
I love where I live and hardly need to drive and rarely need to fly for anything other than family events. I do not understand living somewhere you have to drive OUT OF most weekends to enjoy yourself(ish).
I ride a bike to a lot of my recreation stuffs, except for winter.
In the winter I mostly NordicSki now so my drive is usually 10" but sometime 45" with a couple options in between.
I filled my civic up twice this summer and still got trip to the Lemhi range for goodies.
No computer at my house.
I recycle.
TV is rarely used.
62 in winter and no AC in the summer.
I have 13 or so big trees and a large yard that requires little maintenance.
I ride a dirt bike that gets 40+mpg, but it is still a dirt bike and I take hella good care of it so that is a negative.
I eat meat once a week, if that and it is never fish. This is probably my biggest positive going for me.

Ron, I believe that those countries will catch up,and go much further than we are ,especially in light of their own recent findings.

There was a website some time ago.[the early 90's]
Its name , 40 square miles .
It was taken down,to me ,still mysteriously.
The website EXPLAINED that 40 sq.miles of solar running could supply the entire grid.
20sq. in the east,20sq. in the west.
All existing power plants could be turned off.Dams removed .Coal no longer viable.
The website was produced by some top knotch scientists/engineers.
I wish I could reference any of it.
Utopian dreaming ,maybe.But that would have far less impact than what exists today.

One other thing,all of you deniers,I should be twice as pissed at you and all your RW misinformation regarding solar.
You are indirectly harshing my gig.
Even with substantial subsides,solar does not sell well.
My first installs were in 83,Carter was in office.I thought solar was going to take off then.
We all know what has happened since.
If you think I am just pissing down your back and then telling you it is raining,below is a copy of my electric bill[s] in the last 12 years.
