In mid-August, climbing with Kamps and Powell and co. and bouldering with Gill in the Needles in SD.

1969?
Running after frogs and birds as any other
3 year old i presume. Swimming came later, then
ski, and horse riding. But climbing came with the
next millenium. A different world for sure.
I don ´t remember aug 1969, but i remember august 1970, in
Tignes, Savoie. Thought i could just touch those mountains
since i Was already half as tall as my mom. Perhaps a 4
year old´s perspective?

Finishing up an eight-month European sabbatical leave in England.
My father was a ceramics professor at the U of A in Tucson and we picked up a first run VW front hinge camper van in Luxembourg and drove all over the place devouring artwork. Never got to Berlin.
I started climbing the following year.
Maestro Pennequin has posed the question but not answered it. Where was the Nutstory in 1969?
