"Nombrilistic nanocentric"?
Navel-gazing.
Appropriately French reference, give the reputation Chamonix has for Monday Morning Quarterbacking.

It ain't up to Chris Mc. There will always be a few characters who like to rock the boat; the trick is to ignore them and figure out who makes sense and deserves some respect when they say something that sounds initially strange.

maybe i should have prefaced this whole thread with a poll asking who ueli steck was
1. FA of steck-salathe
2. some form of Toasted Strudel
3. a seedy port town off cape cod
4. hardcore alpinist who won some peice of metal (which is the only measure of true accomplishments, a fake gold bauble)
5. pancakes.
