The finger of fate, my friends, is fickle.

lots of focus on time around these parts lately.
our warriors travellin paths in beautiful motion, though hastily.

so in response,
i got up from my seat and departed the now,
for gawd im always aggresively pursuing that disaster of presence;

and i strolled away from my understanding,
away from my self,

and i explored the echos
that constantly chase me down the hallways of my life.

well, i found all these doors adjoining my thoroughfare of existence
and each one i opened, and peered fearfully into the spiritual closets.

you wanna know me?

read on.

im perfection and disaster in the same shoe.
ambition is mine, though so is surrender.
accomplishment? plenty!
failure? not immediately apparent though strongly present.

hope is mine, paramount. death is my halo, inviting.
fear is soul food.
comfort is poison.
clarity becomes of my mental complacency;
confusion becons my idle mind.

sorrow moves me.
happiness is foolish.

well-being is elusive,
the pursuit of which,
is life.

illness nourishes my ailing heart,
such that it beats upon a dynamic lie.

i love what might be,
i hate what is.

i do.
i do not be.

the mountains, i have found,
echo best my shouts
and have proven themeselves
as a most product unravelling realm.

"May I. Not can I. And yes, they poets be cheap to keep."

There are a lots of climbers who possessed tremendous artistic talents like Randy and like throwpie. And not just in plastic arts but in singing and playing, dancing and juggling and mimicking. Millis was a drop-out or a grad of some acting school and his frustration got the better of him and he came up to the Valley after that.

I think it's great of you to share. I thank all who've posted.

Thanks for keeping this thread going.
Good, warm vibes.
From time to time something gets jogged in my memory.
Makes me wonder how often we were in proximity without realizing it.

there are lots of memories but very few photographs. Not many of us could afford cameras and film. Now with digital it seems everyone is a photographer. I just snapped a few photos in those days mostly of my baby growing up with those little instamatic cameras. Never took it very seriously until recently.

While we're torturing ourselves about how young we once were...here's one of Peggy Lou and I with our new Bonnas. I believe we stumbled, slid and crashed out to Dewey Point that day. Circa 1972

Throwpie,

I clicked to enlarge on that shot of you and Peggy?

This came up. WTF?

I went back, clicked it again, and this came up.

One last time.

The Ellsworth Effect! You lift up the flap, and there's your real actual life.

You're not gonna throw all that pie. Are you?

I think he published a guide book with a red cover, like Roper, except it didn't have pictures.
