Just reporting the truth will rapidly destroy your ratings, witness CNN.

No one would watch Maddow if she just reported the truth.

She has to have something to contrast with the truth, and that is conservative ideology.

Emotion, contrast, sells advertising for every show's sponsors.

Maddow has it easy, anyone can report the truth and contrast it against the republicans.

I wish she find a smart Republican, and then try to entice them to come on her show.

They know better.
