My leftie librarian sister has a Prius, an early adopter of "green" technology.

She returned home from our dad's funeral to a dead battery pack and a repair bill north of 5K.

Buyer beware!



Rot, the Mazda was either a 79 or 80. Both Toyota and Mazda used the same Perkins engine.

I looked at the Toy. walked a few yards to the Mazda dealer. Went back and forth a few times and ended up buying the Mazda for $1500 or so less.

Both used the same drive line components and the Mazda had a better fuel filtering system as well as a lower price.
