You know you’ve gone overboard with on line shopping when it takes you over 30 minutes to break down the boxes for recycling. As well as the juxtaposition of consuming too much, and recycling.

OK, found an acceptable bivy in Modesto at the Double Tree, but only just. The problem is whether the car will be in one piece in the parking structure across the street in the morning.
The silver lining was having a nice chat with the bellboy in Russian.

That's where I stay (in-laws live in Modesto, so I'm there quite frequently) and I've never had a problem with my car there. Be sure to get validated at the front desk! :)
My problem: my lips are still a bit dry from a long weekend of desert air:

Went out to my private ski course at my cabin; hadn't been there since early December. Now there's too much snow to pull my groomer. Had to put on snowshoes just to get the outhouse and to the wood shed. Now I have to wait for the snow to settle so the Skandic won't get stuck. Drat.

Ok ok I fell for the hype and got an Instant Pot.
It’s not bad, mainly a pressure cooker on steroids. We’ve made some pretty tasty meals in it FAST. Like really FAST. I have avoided pressure cookers most of my life after seeing one blow its top right up into a kitchen ceiling. Luckily no one had their head near it.
This instant pot does a million things I’ll probably never use but it wasn’t too expensive and many of my boat friends spoke fondly of it, especially where space is a premium. You can just dump everything in, set it and in 10 to 15 minutes, voila! A meal.

Volvo told me they can’t deliver the car I ordered 5 freaking weeks ago in the color I ordered!
What is this, 1984? Then, an hour later they’re like “Just fooling, it’s all good!”
Should I sue for emotional distress?

I mean, the thought of having to go Economy Plus boggles the mind. Hardly worth it.

NYT crossword on the computer. Makes it WAY too easy to sneak a peek or even use an online dictionary.
In the paper if you wanted to cheat you had to turn to the last page, turn it upside down and look at a facsimile the size of a postage stamp, or worse yet, wait until the next day.
I try not to cheat but I rationalize by the fact I’m old, running out of time and I’ll learn something anyway. ;).
I have to say the good part of e crosswords is you can do a marathon of puzzles and not wait for the next day or week.
