Typical. Went to bed before midnight, woke at 3:45 & that's all she wrote.
The wee hours reveal:

Well the connections over night failed and the rugrats have no school.
I was all wacked and wakeful but could not see or post it felt wasteful
I've been off my rocker trying to think how to corral some photo evidence of me.

The problem arises when I've got to admit to my complete entitlement.

My eyes deceived me. One cataract down. One more cataract and epiretinal to go.
It seems like whenever I go to health care facilities (well not always), I develop cold or flu symptoms.
Whatever happened to doctors who came to your house, like when I fell out that tree and knocked myself out?

There is a bit of a disconnect occurring.
In 1973 some of us still banged in a few lost arrows and angles.mainly at belays.
Some of us had learned to trust the ringing sound while others insisted in over-driving the pins to make the un-removable.
Before the friends there were rumors of Camming devices
, and the Lowe Families' prototype cams were a thing of myth.
& were pictured in the "what's new on the horizon' columns of magazines.
The times that we are talking about when,
just before the last gasp of of the of piton use; theMid seventies, there was an incredible economic crunch.
A gas embargo leading to No gasoline and
lines to get gas that could take all day.
While sounding quaint,
There was no way that most of us could consider new gear,
or the newest most expensive rock climbing protection
The dea that a newly licensed drive had to
.The first curved nuts came along the first micros nuts also.
While the 1st 3 sizes and very quickly the size 4 were awesome,
they were beyond the reach of most younge climbers.
We had real and greater worries While the Nixon administration had shed a
