"Bummer, Dude"

I'm really sorry
But my dreams are on the inside
Of my eyelids
So
I'm making the best of it
Running on fumes
Coughing and sputtering
Living off legumes
Don't fault me dad
So sad

It's all I can do
Putting up them tie dies
On the side of the road
Seein' it's your grass
Someone's post party party
Left over
Big Deal!
It's all clover now,
Baby Blue
What're ya gonna do?

So at least I still have
Perspective
Like angels
Demonic
But true
And paisley blue nightmares
Still a semblance of what to do
"You're old," the boy told me
He ain't got a clue

Seeing so much that is worthy, but I could not seem to keep my eyes open.

I've noticed that when I take old bones pictures, the Tree-man crews show up much more quickly,
stripping live and dead alike a very heavy handed
Though thorough response, I morn my public willow tree.
Really, I weep at the loss of those trees.
And shudder to think of the waste to the tax payers.Bushman tell us all, please how hard it is to fell a 300 year old
Weeping Willow tree?
Three Great grand trees,
all still sending roots deep into a centuries ol 4 acre mill pond.
chain saws ! Yes I suffer From PSTD* and them things set me off -
(*Post SAW Tears disorder) I apologize for making light of the real thing,
I get a physical quaking, and the classic symptoms, clamy complextion, sweats,
nausea, tears . . . When the crew is larger than three men and one saw,
if there are three saws going, I leave the vicinity.

What brought this on? John Cut out the Boundary tree.
the Stone Row was all on my property, he may have bought some strip that I'm not aware of?
he placed a dog containment wire, on top running the length of three other properties(@least)
Now this . . . One mustn't let this own you.
You buy what is described in the Title & Deed, a survey
Shows boundaries including locations of stone rows.
What happens when the one starts to be two?

The schmuck living on a flag lot that ruins the otherwise copesestic neighborhood
has driven all of us to plant evergreens.
The well fixe'd can afford crews to cut into the open space

just the other side of property lines and then ditch, root, and re-plant ten footers.
One time Christmas trees, bought in sets of Ten!
I'm not alone by a score of six other neighbors who have had to spend,
break laws and amend covanets because of this pig fool.

I'll take more snaps of the Yonkers NY Fireman's, tree changes,
not a wealthy man, Or a surveyor
he was quick to cut when the spooge placed a ladder seat hunting stand
fifty feet from the unmarked property line.
He had to. I see he has spent thousands on Douglas and Norwegian Firs.
They are delivered by a truck one at a time. The truck has a ' scoop auger'
that drills a hole and places the trees root ball into the ground.
I failed to go invade on the process, it sounded like a giant set of chain
saws coming through the woods.

I'm soo lucky, to have more than a chongo abode under a bridge some where.
So I'm not complaining, or committing random acts of loud noise to deter the hunting,
When I walk the dog at dawn I do bang aluminum bats of two differing lengths and densities.
There is actually a law against inhibiting hunting.
I ant to be public ally #1 but hunting from back yards
with lights bait and
brush burms to funnel the deer into the kill zone is more yucky
, than the next door neighbor's practice of hunting by fair means

As a fix I've tried to get free medical advice.

Dwain
Doctor Andrew Farmer a a surgeon specializing in Spinal surgery, warns
The systems response to lower fusions is a vastly differnt beast than neck surgery.
He took the time to call back, my wife is pissed.

He tracked her number down, well, he has people to do that.
He called her 1st to ask if I had fallen off some thing? If I could walk ?
what condition was I in. She told him I'd fallen off the the gym routine.
and into a vat of doughnut goo & was suffering from Internet insanity. (addiction)

Lower back compromise due to a climbers type of abuse can be resistant
To some "open" procedures. The way the healing goes, given age and the
Reduced ability to be weight bearing in a fast enough time to stave off further
atrophy, compromise in bowl movement after open surgery, the need to lie pron
and depending on the neurology , comfort sitting up-right for extended periods,
often make some Docs hesitant to do the sort of patching up, fusing, adding a plate / rod(s)
pairing, until the prognosis is . . . . Where you are my friend.

Cosmic, talk to the Neurologist, make sure that your numbers indicate, while standing
and sitting un-supported, that the nerve pathways are not compromised,
The telemetry the numbers indicating the time and force( robust signals )
that it takes for an electric pulse to travel from point to point or from the point
of the test back to the receiver are strong.
The indications, feeling pain is not the same (duh)
Those numbers and in a specific way , (sequence?) are
what needs to be 'in-bounds' to predict what percent of ability is likely to be achieved.

I'm sorry the soil beneath your feet is going to remain loose, steep & treacherous.

It has been a dry dry Fall around the North East.
-5.56 to -10.39 inch deficits of rain in the higher norther regions, will mute the fall colors, the leaves will leave quickly, they say.

Oh man , mouse!
When first I awoke I was way to lazy to try to find readers to read the small print?
Those urchins should spend a Saturday tooth brushing some chain link
that they have been cuffed to for the duration.,
Maybe ,? you should not tell the deputy, take it up a notch go to the local paper
or skate shop..... Oh wait,
I forgot, let ride, let them glide, nice snaps too.
But don't think that the deputies on any side he is no boss dude, dude.

I've now got another three hundred snaps of suff ,
almost all trash, to go through,
and many need a tweek, an exposure or Vibrance change I've got no knack. . .the camera ('nd 'da dufufs behind the thing)Have some opportunities OH NO! THE !st sunset shot: I forgot to save AS and lost the original I hate it when I do that!

I have word via Gypsy of Dick Ellsworth.

After a journey of forty years or so he's back in the 48 states, having lived in AK for that long after originally planning a much shorter stay.

It's quite an epic I'm sure. What's interesting is that Dick is only about 40 miles from Asheville, NC, now, where Gypsy lives.

She tells me it's been her good fortune to have gotten an invite from her friends from Il Muvrini to come and do the photography for their new CD.

It will be a while before she has it all together to abandon her post on Asheville FM (turn its spot over to another DJ) and follow her wont, her bent, her passion, which is music from the Med.

All these travelers and adventurers.

Next thing you know I'll be living in a yurt in lower Bummafukistan, chewing kat, drinking coffee made from beans recovered from elephant turds, eating nothing but raisins and curds, but still rhyming words, and gazing into my belly half the day.

Which is it?

I agree about the picture taking.

But do you have proof skating on posted ramps is legal?

You're rebellion ceases now, FF. Grow up. Stop demanding sh#t.

Cut your hair. Shine your...er, toes. Get a life.

Hey, nice of you to come aboard, ya old pirate.

Yer too scarce as you are fierce.

Did you used to have one of these stickers on your ride?I'm fighting curmudgeonly thoughts this morning cuz it's taking so long to clear out my breathing apparatus today.

It's pissing me off. So serenity now and a cup of Horny Goat Weed tea and I'll be otay shortly.

Captain Marbles zzazzapped him right betwixt the eyes

The Continuing Saga of Bongalo Bill.

So far, the way was clear, but the munge was soon too loose and unstable-like, so we hooked up the mules and scraped it off using the Fresno we'd packed in Pig #30.

It was disassembled, of course, so it could be packed, and it took some careful rigging after we managed to hang the porta-blacksmith shop to get it ready for the team, who were being watered by the crew of Pig Haulers out of Pigs #37 & #38.

We got the team pointed upwards and I took the reins and gave a sharp cry of "Yah, mules!"

Everything went well and the munge was successfully cleaned, leaving a fairly pristine surface of smooth granite at only 85°. Using the laser, we figured the first section to be doable with mostly feet and hands, but maybe a hook move.

We settled in for the night. As we nodded off, listening to the mules snort and snuffle in the porta-stalls, watching the lights of the Southside Freeway moving east and west, but slowing for the interchanges with I-41 coming in from the Fresno River Valley and Oakhurst.

It was hard to believe that Oakhurst was now home to over 80,000 people, most of whom worked in the Park and used the mono to make the commute.

But that's the brave new world and I feel good about my part, opening new territory for the hot dog sport climbers who were the only reason I was up here with Plaidman's crew. They needed a man who knew something about mules, and I was that guy, Bull Doubt the Farmer from Merced.

I'd left my own spread, out of Banos, in the able hands of my first wife, Abella. She ruled that place like the Queen of Sheba ruled Ethiop. I'd have brought her to help, but she was still on crutches from that fall she had while chasing her tail while under the influence.

Catnip is strange stuff.

To be continued, of course--it's a saga.

HAPPY BIRFDAY TO LIBBY SAUTER, QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE AND THE STONE.

New route/first ascent of Chilean Peak, El Hermano (ca 4500') - February 2014

By Libby Sauter and friends. All photos credited to Libby.

I can't recall the names of her two partners on this obscure Patagonian peak, unfortunately. I shot these at a Facelift slide presentation in 2014.

Libby and I met up in the rescue site in 2013 and I was immediately impressed.

She's a rare lady, demurring and full of life, pretty and smart, and able to more than keep up with the rest of the YOSAR gang.

Enjoy this slide show. It's as close as some of you will ever get to Patagonia. There you are, another armchair report from Middle Earth.

What will you climb this weekend?

Imp

An imp is unlike a fairy
Cuz he is so darned scary
With imps one doesn't tarry
See this bottle that I carry?

An imp will steal your soul
Cuz that's his devilish role
He's just a planted mole
For Satan wants his toll

If you think he is a genie
He's not, he's just a meanie
I know one who wears a beanie
And his name is Jim Donini
--MFM

The Bottle Imp is a short story by RLS which used this mythological being
from German tradition for the first time in modern literature.

It's a complicated tale.

Just ask Captain Cook or Napoleon how complicated.

Hey Cosmic, hang in there. I'm not sure what he meant exactly either. I was actually relieved when the orthopedic surgeon who worked on my knee and both shoulders told me my back was too fukked to operate on and he wouldn't touch it.

Right now I'm going through a flare up due to a poor decision to improperly hoist a case of water and some dog food at Costco...f*#k Costco, it's all their faul!

I hate the knife and have an allergy to potential paralysis (I definitely chose the wrong sport and work to avoid that risk) so I guess I'm just saying I have mixed feelings about ever having surgery to repair my own 25 year old back injuries and am not sure it would even be possible. My doctors have never steered towards that option.

Anyway I can seriously empathize.

(Edited version)

For Mr Gnome,

In regards to old trees
And taking them down
And multiple saw men
A' gathered around
Consider them reckless
And without any spine
To render such beauty
Once erect now supine

So I'm sorry to say
I've done harm to a few
Majestic old willows
It's a job I'd eschew
Were it not that their time
Had come to them too
Though I might have refused
Now to do what I do

But as the world turns
And is karmically bound
At least what life's taught me
And what I have found
Is that life can be odd
But the logic is sound
That what comes from the earth
Would return to the ground

And so it should go
For this wood smith as well
If a tree does me in
It's more justice than hell
But it's n'er to forgive
For the crime or the facts
When the forests are plundered
By the saw or the ax
