The Paul Kantner album where the album art was 'chromed' on a black back ground?
Not Baron Von Tollbooth & The Chrome Nun.
Blows Against The EmpireJorma told me the 1st 500(?) printed were, Velvet and gold leaf.
From Wiki...
Kantner had three children; sons Gareth (a restauranteur) and Alexander
(a musician who sometimes played with Jefferson Starship),
and daughter China (a former MTV VJ and actress).
A political anarchist, Kantner once advocated the use of psychedelic drugs such as LSD
for mind expansion and spiritual growth,
He was also a prominent advocate of the legalization of marijuana.
In a 1986 interview, Kantner shared his thoughts about cocaine and alcohol, saying,
"Cocaine, particularly, is a bummer. It's a noxious drug that turns people into jerks.
And alcohol is probably the worst drug of all.
As you get older and accomplish more things in life in general,
you realize that drugs don't help, particularly if you abuse them."
When Kantner suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in 1980,
his attending physician at Cedars-Sinai, Stephen Levy, was quick to point out
it was not a drug-related issue, saying:
"There is zero relationship between Paul's illness and drugs. He doesn't use drugs."
Kantner died in San Francisco at the age of 74 on January 28, 2016.
From multiple organ failure and septic shock after he suffered a heart attack days earlier.
Shortly after Kantner's death, Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart reflected,
"He was kind of the backbone of that band.
It was always about Grace and Jack and Jorma (Kaukonen),
I don’t think he got the credit he deserved."
He died on the same day as Airplane co-founder Signe Toly Anderson.

Yes! That definitely makes the eyes smile! I wonder if anyone has a line of chameleon clothing. I even like the patterns, and the colors are beautiful.
Thank you for the super image!

Oh Ghosh
Chilling with the big Gandhi
God was vexed and trippin'
No, churches would not do
Which was part of the problem
Why he said what he said
But still
Gandhi was comforted by gods foot
Pressing deep in his solar plexus
While zipping hell back up in a bag
And letting all the Syrian babies into the room

As the weather closed in on the garden party some invitations to take the shuttle bus
To a differnt venue were handed out. It said in case of rain, please hand this in at the shuttle kiosk.
The tickets for the Annual event are sold months in advance,
by private email to members of the Art guild.
It is the only pre-planned thing we do.
It used to be an opportunity to camp out over night in the Weir Farm National park. That has stopped due to lack of participation. Not due to us.
We Have never missed one.
The Brubeck Quartet, always plays a few of the standards
Always closing with a rousing -after Five-
Sun or high water I'm in & always drag the family along.
By this year we are well known, recognized and welcomed as if we were Vip.
It's sad if I were to show the change in our favorite young ranger.
She has filled out, In the past five years.
Not looking like she will be transferring to the Ditch.
[photoid =now where are last year's snaps?].
Anyway the crowd of about 600(?) were treated to a full show.
The rain held off.
At the end of the show, most of the invite holders asked to return to their cars
parked miles away at an elementary school.
The shuttle holds about 18 people, so it is a production for some folks.
Lining up taking a number to wait for a ride, if you miss your number you have to wait.
So most folks cue up, and take seat in the spot across from where the bus enters the park.
The road that cuts through the park is very typical. A one and three quarter car width wide affair.
I'm not much for sitting still in a nature preserve /National park.
We always hang out till the last shuttle.
About 40 of us were milling around. the guys in the band had taken off
and the shuttle bus was on its 7th or 8th trip.
That was when the women with the phone, who had strolled in late,ya should'a seen her daughter
said is anyone still going to Keith's?
`Oh yeah,
hell yes !
even with a 13 Y'R old
"I'm going and so are you and the kids."
The deal was simple,
cameras and phones left in a basket at the Weir Farm office.
The shuttle would take us deep into the Mansion lands of Fairfield county.
It is Bel Aire with acres of land, some of the same neighbors.
The blinds on the bus were drawn down and locked.
It was a solid ten minute ride.
I was ecstatic.
We have to be the oddest visitors evha, to the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards, Estate.
We never left the drive way and side lawn, only saw the man from afar.
He and the Brubeck band stayed on a Lani, overlooking the the half acre
side lawn, the driveways' yard.
It was at least three thousand feet from the circular drive
& proper front entrance to the Mansion.
my kids were near tears with boredom, the Jazz show taxes them, but, for them, this strange side trip sucked strangers toes. Any toes. . .
For my wife and I it may be the only time that we were the coolest kidz anywhere. The weekend of the National Park volunteer face lift is a different thing around here.
Not better just different.
Cue the song Garden party.

Gnome, that is just the cutest cat-bat! I saw a huge, probably feral, black cat today when I went for a walk. Huge. I think it is checking out the neighborhood for possible perches during the coming costume parade on Halloween.
Mouse, the Tioga is hauntingly festive. ghoulish. I mean golly. I have a friend going with his granddaughter, both in their beekeeper suits. I suggested that they hand out little Bit 'O Honey candies everywhere they go to trick or treat. Sort of turn the tables. :) Typing of honey, I brought home a year-long supply from Alaska. Best honey I've every had, especially delicious on Scottish Oats for one variety, and the other honey heavenly in teas. Very different flavors.
The Farmer's market here is still in full swing, The aspen are showing off. Low water and great fishing. A friend brought over a 3# rainbow from the Madison River today, so Sunday dinner is going to feature fresh trout.
Late here, but I am still on Alaska time, going to sleep about midnight and falling out of bed around 7 AM. I trust everyone around this constant, reliable, stalwart fire is well and doing wonderful things every day.
Good dreams to us all,
ff

Alyssa, the old bookstore hag.
She tells me that she gets clothing given her by old ladies.
It's where she got this beautiful and lovely throw-on.
Tres chic.

What I am taking away from this is the size of the little punks and the language! Oh my.
The fact that to my knowledge they weren't told to stay off the ramp on skateboards sort of sticks in my craw,
especially when I had mentioned it to the deputy.
This is of course, not up to the story of FKG Keith Richards.
