I agree with you wholeheartedly. I slunk away early
so I didn't/wasn't subjected to the the late night things,
but did miss the earlier fun on Friday and Saturday nights.
it was great seeing you & Dave.

Nita!
I cannot believe I did not get to speak with you. I was able to spy on you from behind the stage and you looked fantastci!
It was great to see how much you enjoyed Josh Ritter, he was amazing and did not stop smiling the whole time he performed. I feel he will remember Yosemite and the Facelift crowd for a long time to come. Great events draw the greatest of human beings.

Your photos are fantastic and I recognized many faces.
I spoke with Mighty Hiker, Fattrad, Crimpie, her friend Dave, and spent some time with my good friend JoeyF.
I was also able to speak with Andy with brought back many fond memories.
Thanks Nita.

-That car looks great on you Joe! Say hello to Kevin and many thanks for the bottle of Iron Horse Cab.

Fatty: was that you yelling at the Ranger "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME LADY!!" then? Haha! :) Also, where are the photos from the 'talk show'? I'd love to see those! ha!

Nita: I'm getting to the photos now...I'm updating the blog first and won't get up until photos start appearing on the taco. In fact, I may start multi-tasking now that I have some mate tea on board.

edit: If photobucket has slowed down, it is my fault - I'm uploading a gob of photos right now...stay tuned!

Fattrad, if I remember correctly you also threw down some, "being in the CHP and all" stuff.

Said Ranger arrived @ 11:30 and after we asked, she did say we could stay up til midnight. Thought that was pretty flexible on her part : ))

I couldn't hear Jaybro's snoring at all. The Barbarian's snoring near our tent must have blotted it out. :)

Back to reality

Facelift ......... work or vacation ?

Ken you are a rare breed. Thank you for all the time you put in for this and all the other great YCA events. You are a
climbers climber. Its great to see someone who loves the area they live in and gives and gives and gives back.

Lets not forget all the great sponsors for this event and Chris Mac and Supertopo.

Dan from Redwood Creek Wine was great as was Dave from 5-10.

There was so much free beer and wine and swag , it was like a birthday party everyday.

Northface, Patagonia, Teva , 5-10, Cliff bar, and so many more.

It was great meeting everyone and staying in Yellow Pines.

I did have a Jingy sighting and it was odd indeed.

Nature was awesome. thanks for the rare treat. Sushi in the forest ?

Crowley says hi to all.

Thank you Yosemite , your towering stone walls make everyone feel welcome.

Family, Friends & Foreigners. It doesn't get any better.

Gregg

museum edit: Very cool exihbit that we all should do what we can to keep it growing. Thanks again Ken.

Hi Fish Finder, Thank you for mentioning the sponsors. I hope everyone remembers them when taking care of their shopping needs.

Ken, can you list all the sponsors?

Here they come!

Nature drinking COFFEE

Blaine (and Dave) being shut down on Astroman which was littered with countless (okay, not countless, but six) parties.

Sushi decorations

Some merry-makers: Mighty Hiker, Crimpie, Crowley and Chicken Skinner

View from the top of Half Dome that BrassNuts took after soloing Snake Dike.

Soloing Snake Dike was "extra fun" because of the blasting winds. This climber wasn't bothered a bit by the winds.

Thanks again to Fatty for the birthday cake! And thanks to Lynn L for my stylish boa. :) Notice Dave Nettles waiting to pounce on a piece of that deliciousness!

Sushi mayhem

Blaine after seeing the rap station for Hotline. Anyone else like rapping on old ski rope?

Tent Ghetto in Yellow Pines

Crimpie and Happie hanging out at the fire

The crowd at one of the raffle drawing and before Josh Ritter played

Ranger Jack on our special project picking up phone wire. Had a great time with him, Ranger Jessie and the others that helped.

Happiegrrrl heading up the first pitch of Beggar's Buttress

Crimpergirl heading up the first pitch of Beggar's Buttress. Fun climb!

Crimpie heading up pitch two of Beggar's. Fun fun fun!

Same as above:

JStan and Fatty before the big party

Karl Baba, Brass Nuts and Happiegrrrl before the party

Lovely Dawn, Ricky D and Fatty before the party. A photography extravaganza!

A super fun moment at the final shebang was when a t-shirt was thrown to John Stannard to see if he could snag it out of the air. How could they doubt? With perfect grace, he snatched it and the crowd went wild. This was truly a highlight.

T-shirts, poop bags, and chalk being thrown into the audience. Only 57 people were injured.

Amazing rainbows we saw while driving home. This was in California still I believe.

Serenity Crack

Sons of Yesterday. There goes Brass Nuts...

Blaine and Happiegrrrl meet.

Brass Nuts and Blaine prepare for some climbing

Happie and Fake Blinny chat it up

Mr. E and Chicken Skinner yucking it up at Yellow Pines

A proud trash find by Brass Nuts

Returning with a car full of trash (and archeology treasures)

The Doctor

Mr E.

Everyone's favorite - Jingy!

Paganmonkeyboy and the Doctor

Brass Nuts and Blaine

Frisbee and Casey getting some sushi

Pennsylenvy, uh, well, you know...

Happie and Jingy enjoying some chow

The Doctor, Roger Brown, Pagan and Buggs chatting

Mr E., Casey and Dave resorting to squatting and talking - aching backs!

Mr. E practicing his finger jab to Mighty Hiker's horror.

Mighty Hiker and Casey doing something???

Frisbee (on the kazoo) and Buggs entertaining the masses. (Little bunny foo foo...)

John Stannard stripping telephone wire with his bare hands

Telephone wire special forces at work!

Mr E and his girl. BTW, by the end, she was quite ornate. I am sorry to report her demise though as Brass Nuts and I had to haul her carcass away.

edit: Steve W - You silly goose! An airstream? Nah, instead we bought a beautiful new Cougar. See you all in Indian Creek very soon - we'll be in the lounge-mobile! Heh heh!

double edit: I take the worst photos! I swear I can't make anything focus even with auto focus. Maddening.

Ken has some serious energy....started early and worked late. Think this may be Ken with the wine sponsor from Redwood Creek.
