oh hell. maybe you're right. Thanks for the towel beta though, that lake is perfect for swimming. Fun little gilligan's island to swim out to, rad alpine lake in a huge granite basin.

Wes,
Thanks for the wake-up/shake-up.
Complacency rocks, and all that, but it's easy to get
carried away.
Apart from some knee-jerk reactions, a lot of people had to, at
least, ramp up their thought processes, if only to fine-tune
their rebuttals to you.

Caughtinside, Wes's right...this coming weekend. I'll be out there on Saturday. I got my eye on 'Space Truckin' for a lead. Any recommended routes?
I'll prolly hit Indian Springs on Sunday/Monday, never been there, recon-mission.

We got there late and didn't get that many routes in, but the ones we did were good. Changeling, .9, Cracula, .10a, and Buster brown or blockbuster, can't remember, .10b, kicked my butt. space truckin' looks good, haven't done it.
Saw indian springs on the drive home sunday, faces west, so morning shade.
We tried to go to donner sunday morning, but the road was closed because of a triathalon. So, we went to Rainbow instead and did a couple fun cracks before the sun hit. There is a really fun .10d, aja, great finger crack.

Do "both" pitches on Space Truckin (one long pitch), screw that loweroff junk. You can do a short rap into the chasm behind the pillar...
Then contemplate Dano's "death dyno" at the top of Spacewalk. He had led it the day before, felt that "some weight" was on the rope and, being the purist he was, free soloed the next day....was one of the "dicier" ones according to him.
I've watched a couple of people whip on Buster Brown...pure fist grind at the crux...
I don't know that anyone wants me standing on "their" shoulders but I definitely "thank Welzenbach" even when I strap on the 12 points...

Hey Wes, did you make it up to Eagle Lake. I was in Tahoe but I had to find a transmission shop for a buddy on Saturday and by the time we got back to camp it was too late to hit Eagle so we ended up at D.L. Bliss for afternoon bouldering. Sucks, cause I was looking forward to checking out Eagle Lake. Oh well.
On the way home, though, I did stop for the night at Indian Springs and hiked up to look at the routes. Looks pretty cool. And the swimming, spectacular!
