Lost Arrow Chimney is one o' the best. I was in good condition when I did it and real happy about it. It was pretty physical on every pitch. You will be psyched to get 'er done. Bad bolts. You don't need huge gear, though you could place it. Tagging a bullet pack on a 6mm saved a ton of energy for my pard and I. Nice and cool in the shade. Ahhh. Nice little tucked away ledges. And squisher chimneys.

"To climb a wall (any wall) with each of my two favorite yos partners EVAH! Mike, Melissa, get ready!"

Sounds fun. Let's pretend to plan to go somewhere badass. Are you and me and Mike all climbing together? He'd need a Spice Girl name. Does Mike like the gym?

Seriously...let me know when you're back up north, and we can go small.

cool Greg, can you copy me the link to that thread/story, maybe in an email or here?

Brings up an interesting omission about Blind Faith though, I mean gad zukes that thing is awesome looking...

I was with RP in the valley once he got a wild idea to go do it - I said, "hey Rick we got like one #4 friend"...only time I've questioned his judgment about anything he wanted to do it that bad.

Ray. Here's that link to Peter Haan's Basket Case story - one of the best ever posted here in my opinion. I'm looking at the guide right now for Blind Faith. So I take it you and Rick decided against doing it?

My first goal is to just get there in the autumn after I work the crush in Napa. Prior to that I hope to get in two to four weeks in the Meadows in July/August.

If I can get back to leading 5.10 comfortably and get a couple of walls under my belt, such as NW Face of HD and Salathe Wall or Nose, I'd be super super happy.

Blind Faith is the mega OW on the Rostrum w/ the nice 11+ thin hand pitch for a start- led that but I'd hav'ta say the upper pitches are uh, how shall I say - "real".

Thanks for the link.

I was thinking of soloing the Prow. I have done some short aid routes solo. Went rather well. Thougnt it would be a good first wall. Hear its now rather easy. Easy Hauling.

Any Advice.

Thanks

Can't wait to get back to Yos! All of my Josh "projs" will have to wait 'till next year, 'cause I haven't sent a single one!

M- I'm working super hard right now, but as of May 1, I'll be up in ze valley for some footwork lessons. You, Mike, and me? Oh man! Now THAT would be the stuff of stories for years to come!

Randy, of course, I am training for ze cracks in ze gym ant vill be goink for ze schendink sooo haard, ya!

Pete, I must admit I'm feeling a little sheepish about how I seem match your pace on the wall. But hey, twice the climb time on the wall for each time the rack gets hoofed to the base, how baaaad could it be?

:) Can't wait to hug every darn one of you 'till your ribs crack!

my goal for yosemite in 2007 is to go there. Ive never been. Im afraid of tourists, you know, the kind with fanny packs, color coordinated gear, perma-smiles and cameras around their necks. I guess thats why Ive always avoided the valley. whats a good time to visit when I wont have to fight my way through a sea of these people just to get to a damn climb?

oh, and maybe to sneak chuck back in.....ahhh...sneaky sneaky!

1. Get to Yosemite, 2. find babysitter, 3. climb Nutcracker with my wife at a time without too many crowds on it.

Probabaly will be more challenging that the old El Cap FA's I used to do.

El Cap in a month? You going with Pete?

"Only got 7 days door to door from Texas so time is an issue "

Opps, misunderstood, you mean soon. Take the Muir off your list. Best bet would be Lurking Fear, maybe the Trip with the LIA/Virginia start (since it drips hard in the spring)

If half of these routes get done it will be one of the busiest seasons on the walls.

Your all gonna die!!!. . . and then its booty time.
