(Referring to pics above....looks like a new camera will be needed for future threads)

The joy of life is there. It reaches out to all of us. Memories of those we care about abound when we take ourselves away to a place of peace and quiet. More than ever it became profoundly apparent to me that those who are still with us need to be cherished, loved abundantly along with all the warts and foibles. As well don't we want it reciprocated to us...? Our warts are there too ya know :D

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO after this reflection I went back and laughed over the fun we had this summer....all us warty people ....hehehe !

DMT, Jim is the campground host at Junction. He got mad at me once when I smashed a mosquito on his forehead. Told me not to ever do that again because that's what causes it to swell. Claimed if you simply let them suck on you they fly off and don't leave a trace!

Lynne,

Hope your reentry into what JL used to call the "mundane plane" is going well!

You are so right about the peace that comes from time in the mountains, without modern communications. It is priceless and a summer up there is a rare and precious thing.

Did a TR about our sojourn up there:

Gerry and I hope to see you soon.

That's Rattelsnake in the photo above, a buddy of Jim's. Both nice blokes, just quirky, esp. rattlesnake. Jim is a sweetie.

I sure missed being there this year, real good to see Yerian and Ricky take on the 3rd pillar.

Lynne,

If you are going on the road, and this thread is the connection to the rest of the world..

Then I guess I have to let you know here....

I have a piece of story telling that I think you may like/dislike/find amusing...

When you get a little closer to the east side, and I if I am able to get in the car and head over I can get the CD to you.... I think you might like it because of the story that I've read hear (preparation for the trip) from up thread....

Hope that everything is well, and you have the adventure you've always wanted.

Edit: I guess I saw this thread too late....

That photo of you returning to your mundane says it all...

Let me know your address...
I can burn a CD and send it to you for enjoyment.
