I'm a neo-con and would have gone into Iraq without any WMD claim.

Okay. But the rest of the country wouldn't have gone for it. Hence the need for the blatant lies.

You wouldn't mind if she attended academy, but are you willing to put her on the front line of a ground assault into Saudi Arabia?

Oh, I don't know LEB. I think the army recruiters see the connection-

make sure to meet Jodie and her parents
and Antoine and his mom
and John and his mom.

What would be "irrational", "invalid" or ir"relevent" would be someone without 'kids' "ringing hollow" in soliloquy.

"The point is that we don't "send" them anywhere they send themselves so how is the parent's views relevant?"

Parent's/ other voters tell them they can't drink till their 21.
Parents/taxpayers have been sending them to die for quite a while now. On my eighteenth birthday my grandfather took me to the 'center' to register. It was a matter of being left in the 'will'. There are alot of external triggers that make a eighteen year old jump. If you had one you would know what I mean.

No LEB, the point and question is, how is a non-parents view relevent?

How do you feel, given the recent relevations of 'intelligence' about some 2000 american kids dead, 15 to 20k wounded. We won't even mention the 'local' death count, literally.
You thought alot of your opinions in the Torture threads. Most of your posts were very marginalizing to say the least.
Have you had any second thoughts?

Advice- Ditch the underlying 'republican' dogma. It's quite an anomaly in your moral compass. It seems to permeate alot of what could be considered 'sound' in your posts, and leaves you short of the target. IMO

You called SMasterK's question "irrational", "invalid" and ir"relevent"

You said-
"we don't *send* our children anywhere"

Yes we do Lois. As parents and taxpayers, my point. I'm not sure why the 'don't tell me I can't have an opinion' was unleashed, I relish your opinion. Just don't call questioning 'sending under-age drinkers' to war "invalid" or defer your own little piece of responsibility.
Still no more thoughts on those torture 'feelings'?

Ed. and if you 'listened' carefully to what Fattrad typed, I'm thinking he was less that neutral if'n his daughter wanted to go 'Demi Moore' style GI Jane.

Ed.d. check the record. i think you'll see that my 'opinion' on "abortion vs right to life" leans heavily in favor of the willingness of the hostess to make an incredible sacrifice. Think of that in terms of watching that sacrifice go into the ground eighteen years later, parent or not.

Ed. d.d. The way you phrased that "abortion vs right to life" is intriguing, expound.

Sorry for the diversion, back to the 'Indictments'. Look who pop up in the same Wikipedia reference.

"Edward Gillespie (born 1962) is an American conservative Republican political lobbyist. Most notably, he was selected by President George W. Bush to be Chairman of the Republican National Committee, where he remained from July 2003 to January 2005, when he was replaced by Bush campaign manager Ken Mehlman."

"Gillespie is founder of Quinn Gillespie & Associates, a conservative lobbying firm that provides strategic advice, public relations services, and government representation to corporations, trade associations and issue-based coalitions. The firm's clients included Enron and Microsoft, which paid the firm $1.2 million between 2001 and 2003."

Ed.
Mehlman's interesting in his own words-

Ed.b. "At the heart of Friday's indictment of a top White House aide remain two unsolved mysteries.

Who forged the documents that claimed Saddam Hussein was seeking uranium for nuclear weapons in the African country of Niger?

How did a version of the tale get into President Bush's 2003 State of the Union address, even though U.S. intelligence agencies never confirmed it and some intelligence analysts doubted it?"

Ed.c. you know, DRather got run out for 'flaming'on TV over forged documents. Who ran him out again? I think they questioned his integrity.
