Werner, Lots of people now consider a nuke to be any effort to slow up the thread and make it difficult to read. Not just getting rid of the thread.

Well they're wrong.
Then call it something else and not Nuke.
After a nuclear explosion what's left?

Aw shoot. Yall should have enough fire power.
So what should we call a super large picture? or
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....Edit. ( this was really really long, which makes you have to scroll to read anything, which makes it really hard to read posts. There you go Werner. Now what do we call these things? )
Which I have used on occasion,
in moments of super frustration with she who must not be named.
She certainly got my goat a few times. haha

I see it as an attempt at disruption. It's a form of "fuking" with someone.
Our world is so perfect ....... hahahaha

" It's a form of "fuking" with someone."
Exactly.
( which Philo had a hard time dealing with at this point. Who could fully blame him? Sure he might have taken it a bit far. So what. Who hasn't taken something a bit far? )
So what do we call this form of screwing with someone? Who has a good name?

Large pictures may take long to load in forums, depending on your connection speed, but I do not know of a way to crash macs using pictures. If so, it would be Apple's blame and no one else's. I read the letter above, don't know the guy, but it sounds like a classic case of "I'm taking my ball home". Happens all the time on forums, people need to learn what forums are for, and investing emotion in them is the last thing you should do...just take the sand out of your vagina and suck it up...

Traditionally, posts with giant pictures, or possible slow load times for any reason were labeled with a "56k warning", it is still useful in the absents of 56k modems...

Hank I saw that thread that claimed Russ's nuke bomb jpeg messed up their computer.
I've already ad nauseam commented on that along with others.
My comments were not to defend or offend the actions here but try to remain as a commentary observer to the events as they unfolded.
Some of the accusations were outright incorrect and therefore I commented. The jpeg file Russ posted was clean. Philo still vehemently over reacted regardless. That is in itself his right.
For him to over react over something like this and to actually delete all his post history and Photobucket account seemed on the verge of extreme hysterical proportion.
Nobody wanted him gone especially not me.
Primary victims of buffer overflow were Blinny, zip and Karen.
Anyone else?

Locker,
Some aren't getting e-mail through the ST email system. I didn't get one from Philo either and I don't receive emails from other members, now.
You may want to try sending yourself an e-mail to see if you're in the same category.

"Well, since you're accusing me of making sh#t up, which is really convenient, since Philo deleted all of his posts, and since you obviously have NO CLUE WTF you are talking about, I humbly ask that you pipe down.
Suck that."
Nefarious, sorry but Mike Bolte and Survival got it right.

Hankster,
I was really glad to see your post. I wish you had seen the one I put on Phil's goodbye thread. I'll repeat the crux of it.
Phil came through for us last summer, and gave people he didn't know his wheels for our Bandito reunion tour. He saved us thousands of dollars. Because of him we had gas and mead aplenty for our trip. He can share my food and as survival instructors like Ouch! have said since the 50's "Drink from the same cup."
granite,
Thanks. I think Nefarius was beat up as a kid on the playground, so now he thinks that bullying people is the way to communicate.
