That guy (Ford) was praising Jesus way too much for my taste.

She buried Paul
BTW, Bob D's comment on Rudy G cuts to the chafe(how's that for a mixed metaphor?)
'He from NY, he got man boobs and he won't get elected!"
Doesn't get more succinct, or funnier than that!

A long time ago, when the armbar ranch was in Phoenix, we conducted a Stratgey session (cheetos and beer in front of the vile box)for our next day climbing. All of a sudden a commercial came on the tube for an RV/boat store in nearby Glendale, and the pitchman was Alan Hale, The Skipper from Gilligans Island! He was dressed in full skipper drag, blue shirt, hat, the works. Only he was skinny, and his voice was so horse you could barely recognise it.
"Eww, dude, he sounds and looks like a chemo survivor," said my friend, whose anonymity I will preserve by refering to him as a mr R. Pole.
We were massively chagrined a few months later when the Skipper died of cancer of the everything. We really did feel bad about that one.

Indeed cancer has it's serious side. But sometimes to laugh is to be human. And, as a medical professional I Know you know the cathartic value of gallows humor.
My mom (83) is a six year Breast Ca survivor (also has had some cancerous skin removed)my older Bro just had some of his face stolen for similar reasons. My dad died in '79 @ age 56 from Pancreatic Ca. (I suspect his untimely visit to Nagasaki had something to do with it.) He spent much of his last few months getting tested for a recurrant back ache, each test of increasingly dire potential, which all of us kind of had a hard time dealing with, on several levels.
When he finally got diagnosed, we were all pretty somber, until my older bro said, "Well I guess it wasn't that awful colon cancer, after all" after a strained moment, we all laughed as hard as we were capable of, it was the last time I saw my dad truley enjoy himself. He died six weeks later.
But back to RG, I for one had forgotten that he had had prostate c.(my estimation of his chances of the nomination just fell to zero, btw) Out here in the sticks, the medical lives of the eastern block elite is often overshadowed, by life itself.
Sometimes saying that a doughy faced suit has manboobs, is just a cheap joke and not the same as calling someone a sissy for having medical misfortune.
I exercise, don't smoke, don't eat meat and use sunscreen.

LEB wrote: Now, if you don't mind my saying so, when it comes to me it does seem that you have a proverbial "chip." From where I sit, it would appear that you are ever looking for a fight with me. Now, if that is what you want, you will most assuredly find it. But be clear about one thing - this is your agenda not mine.
No "chip" at all.
I find it quite strange that a man would post as woman on a rock climbing site...but that just me.
And just who would I be fighting with...Lois...DMT...or some other internet ghost??
I am always ready to take the gloves off. Let it fly if you care to do so.
Later, Bob

Lois, nobody has the time to read all the threads on this site. Bob probably skips the ones where personalities talk about other personalities/trolls and whatnot.
As somebody who skips through posts that you say you are reading, you can't complain about a guy who doesn't read everything that he never claimed to read.
Peace

I don't think we needed to see that, bob. yeeesh. I'm hereby embarking on a happy liver campaign.
i think Lois and Bob should settle this via an armwrestling match Lois gets to use two arms, Werner & Karl officiate.
further handicapping may be in order.

"Indeed, he does (not read everything) and you are quite correct, neither do I do so.
There is one fundamental key difference, however, which I believe you have overlooked.
When one is out to "pick a fight," so to speak, it then behooves said him or her to come in prepared. This is not the first time bob has come around looking to stir up trouble in my direction. And if it is trouble he wants, then it will be trouble he gets. Under those circumstances, it is absolutely best that he DOES read everything before inviting another to knock the proverbial chip off his shoulder. "
Of course I have overlooked part of this Lois. What do you think, I Read Everything?

Depends on which arm I use. My left arm is missing all the Bicep muscles (birth defect).
My right arm is ok.
