Waaaahhhh.... Chief never answered my question.
All this warm and fuzzy stuff, but no simple answer to my hooking question.
Waaaahhhh.... Nobody cares about hooking anymore.
Can we stay on topic, people?

There is no crying on SUPERTOPO.
You are right, we are climbers talking about fishing.
Bring on the hookers... you know what I mean.

I wanted to know if any of your hand-tied hooks would have any chance of holding a fall.
Now, some of your big fish are putting a serious impact force on those hooks, no doubt! So, I'm all about the possibilities!

If I can't cry on the Taco Stand, then I'm truly screwed, because I cry pretty much all the time. Sniff, sniff.

Dude, you are the MAN.
That is some bada55 use of microhooks. It makes me cry to just to see how teensie they are.
Tears of joy, mind you.
Thanks for posting up!

MB... I even gave them a go on the first three P's of WOS back in Sept of 95' before I backed off cus I didn't want to... die? Not from the actual route mind you. Rather, after finding out the story behind it and not wanting any "local" to find out I was on it. I thought for sure they'd start shooting shet covered rocks at me with their sling shots... Oh man!

I sure get that, Chief. Although you could have made up a flail with a bunch of those, and nobody would have wanted to get within distance of you. LOL

PS MB: They did not work too well on the many altered vertical mud chippers I encountered on Intifada. Now that is THE primary reason I backed off of that shetfest manu'd death route.

Okay, that phrase smote me to my knees in laughter.
Seriously great fish pics, btw.
I've got five national-class fly-fishing streams within an hour of me, and I'm ashamed to say that I haven't made it out to any of them since moving to Colorado. Your pics have motivated me afresh.

!!!!WARNING!!!!
MB: You get back on the fly and you'll completely forget about climbing. Seriously.
This should get you rolling out the door at zero dark thirty and driving like a madman to anyone of them waters wanting another fix of the sunrise hatch...

Chief..... I did buy a Fly Rod.... went up to Cottonwood... hooked two tiny goldens... then I broke the tip due to stupidity. Its getting repaired now...
I can't hike more than about a mile right now, but I hope to get to some of those lakes.
My friend, who taught me to FF... says to never fish in Lakes. That I can't understand, seem to me like big ones like the lakes.
I want to understand the whole Nymph thing.... when I get my stuff back I'll give ya a call.
and Tad.... nice rockfish, those are my faves.... for eating.

Guy!! Call me anytime cus I fish any body of water. Learning how to adapt to em all (just as YC states in his video) will certainly make you that much better of a multiple type caster and fly tyer. That is what the old Salt that taught me how to chuck them flies impressed upon me back in Maine in the early 90's. He told me over and over to always "Think outta the Box" and watch the goods in the water that them monsters are eating if you want to hook em.
And was he ever right. Thanks Brian T for taking me under your wing.
Big Monster trout DO NOT get big by eating small #16 Dries or Emergers on the surface...
