Good suggestions so far, but what about a smaller search & rescue groups (than YOSAR) or a non-profit that helps low income/students climbers (like this Urban Peaks)
http://urbanpeaks.org/news
I don't know anything about this particular non profit but it seems like a smaller less known non-profit is the one that could actually benefit the most....
and look at all this!

Hey Norton,
Contact Fatty and get him your address. He's ready to pay up immediately.
I'm not surprised. A deal is a deal and unlike some of these other fools he wouldn't change the rules based on some unrelated events.

Fatty knows how to log here in a minute by creating a new avatar
He knows how to PM me
He will never honor his pledge, he will never, ever pay the $5000
He had no intention of doing so when he said that he would.

I'd like to see the money dispersed a little wider than just YNP.
My vote is for Access Fund.

Hey Norton.... please contact him before you say such things. I've communicated with him personally.
if he doesn't then certainly let us all know. And if he does do the same.
give him a chance, right?

The 5k is ready, as soon as Norton contacts me with his name and addy, so I can give him credit with the charity.

I think it is unreasonable to state that Fats will not pay, and there is no reason to insult him.
Winners of things should be gracious.
Really, no one else is willing to partially match?

Is YOSAR part of the NPS? can you donate to YOSAR?
it would be cool if you could, but without knowing the answer,
I vote for donating to ASCA, and the YCA.

Fatty, of his own accord, stated that he would give $5K to the charity of Norton's choice if Obama won. No conditions were put on this by Fatty or Norton. To me, it is very simple. Norton needs to say, on this thread, what charity he chooses. Fatty needs to post up and show that he has donated the money. If he doesn't, he is both a welch and a liar. He does not need Norton's personal information. He just needs to STFU and pay his debt. End of story.
