Rockermike - No surprise you are from Berkeley.

I welcome a review of Obama's academic achievements, but wait, he won't release any of those records. So, to your point about being president of the Harvard Law Review, I beg to differ that it means anything more than he was the "blackest" student that year. I'm sure you are aware that the position was held for the student with the highest academic rank, until the 70's, when that system was "changed" to be "fair" to minorities. Now fellow students pick half of the HLR presidents based on a special writing competition (academic rank is not considered).

So if Obama is so smart, like all the liberal media wants us to believe, what exactly has he done that is so brilliant? The list of stupid things he has done keeps growing, but unless pushing one Socialist, income redistribution program after another, until this country ends up as a 3rd world nation qualifies as smart, give me a break.

Palin has certainly had some gaffe's that were widely reported in the media, but in my opinion, none ranks up there with Obama's "57 states" comment. It is one thing to "mis-speak", but that comment is akin to giving the wrong date for your own birthday.

Let's hope no one asks her an ambush question like "what do you read?". That might send her over the edge.

Wow. As someone who went to law school and came nowhere near being eligible for law review, that statement is beyond ignorant.

Amazing how quickly some people, given a podium, will stick his or her foot right in their mouth.

"but unless pushing one Socialist, income redistribution program after another..."

It's probably pointless to ask this of you, fairweather, because not a single one of your Repub cohorts have been able to come up with even one specific answer, but here goes anyway:

Can you name one liberty or freedom that you used to have under Shrub that you lost since 1/20/09?

What exactly are the parts of the new HR law that are truly and completely Socialist by definition?

The healthcare bill is online for everyone with an internet connection
to read, in its entirety.

I have posted this link numerous times for everyone here.
It is always better to find out for one's self, rather than to make
assumptions as to what is exactly in the bill and what is not.

Here it is again. I have read the bill, every word, every page.
But then, I don't work full time anymore, besides I just like to know stuff.

It has been available online to read for a long time.
Hopefully, many more Americans will find the time to find out for themselves, and not rely on anyone else for information, especially given
the personal and corporate agendas of many in the various media sources.

Of course, if one does not wish to read the entire bill, then they can
simple do a "google" search of "healthcare bill summary" and click on a
nice outline that should not take much time to read.

I was diagnosed with type II diabetes 2 years ago. As a contract computer scientist, without corporate coverage, I called BCBS. they denied me because of pre-existing conditions. Now I pay cash money for doctor visits and meds to keep my condition in check. I must say, I'm very happy that the health reform passed, now I can rest more easily, knowing if any catastrophic thing happens, I won't burden my family with excessive health costs.

God help us. This country is torn apart, and will not stand divided.

We had best get it together, or we're all in a world of crap.

She just drew the biggest crowd Searchlight Nevada has ever seen.

7,000 in a burg that boasts about a 1,000 residents and is hundreds of miles from anywhere.

TGT....a perfect example of a Palin fan primarily for these reasons:

a) she gets the Dems in a tizzy

b) her populist, rightwing schpiel can bring votes that could sway an election towards the GOP.

Aside from that, he's smart enough to know damn well she has no business being in any public office.

Palin's a ditz. Sure, she ran a town and then governed a state effectively, but anybody can do that. She's stupid....

hell yes lots of folks, women and men, have governed towns, cities, states effectively. But that has not prepared Sarah Palin to be VP or a presidential candidate. How many more times must she prove to you that she knows almost nothing, and what she does know is fairly useless. What is about Republicans and ignorance?

I ran into her at a Bed, Bath and Beyond liquidation sale in San Bernadino. She had acne scars and a bit of BO. Looks like she'd been on a bender.

SFB's said: "Palin has certainly had some gaffe's that were widely reported in the media, but in my opinion, none ranks up there with Obama's "57 states" comment. It is one thing to "mis-speak", but that comment is akin to giving the wrong date for your own birthday."

This can only come from someone who hasn't followed the news very closely or with any discrimination.

Thr truth is, Palin has repeatedly said things so queer and fantastically daffy that her best work ranks up there in the pantheon of absurdist oration. Have you ever listentend to her "I quit" the Alaskan governorship speech? Now that is one for the ages. Conan O. had Captain James Tiberious Kirk recite that doosy word for word accompanied with a stand up bass and a brother working the bongos, sort of Beat style, but sans drift or comprehension.

What's more, as has been pointed out in countless psychological musings, Palin's appeal is a kind of cult of personality thing that has nothing to do with the prodigeous howlers that so routinely tumble from her cakehole. Also, personality profiling of those hoodwinked by the likes of Palin betray a person who rallies for someone who must push against an opposite, another set of "values," an "anti-American" pinko proto socialist who will tank the country and all the aging straight peckerwoods who got us right where we are. They get fired up and punch the air and write scathing retorts - and it all means nothing whatsoever.

It's a very interesting exercise to see someone contrasting the imagined and purported "values" of Palin with her actual behavior and words. Said valus are all grandstanding and smoke - but damn, I'd still do her and so would you so quit lying about it.

I mean, really, if she was ugly as a stump, who the hell would give Sara Palin the time of day? You? Kindly tell us why. Show attributions.

I'd wager that I'm the only person here who has actually met Sarah Palin. More than once, I'd add.

Alaska isn't a big place, and during the gubernatorial primaries, the rallies debates and campaign events aren't exactly well attended.

Few people outside AK realize that the only reason Sarah Palin rose to anything beyond a small regional pol, was Frank Murkowski's incredible arrogance/nepotism in naming his daughter to his vacated US Senate seat. That, along with some shady backroom negotiations around the proposed gas pipeline mean that he WAS going to lose the GOP primary...Alaskans were pissed at him.

That left Sarah Palin, a metro-Anchorage local pol, with a tight ass and some naughty librarian glasses...vs John Binkley, a Fairbanks businessman from a connected family but an annoying little prick without the name recognition of being from the greater Anchorage area. He was bound to lose, as their positions were basically indistiguishable.

Tony Knowles, a former Dem gov still almost clipped her in the general election, but AK is a pretty red state and you know the rest.

So the only reason anyone outside the MatSu Valley has even heard of Palin is because Frank Murkowski was a stupid, greedy, entitled as#@&%e. At this point, she's a sideshow...able to incite the bumpkins in the base, but basically incoherent on anything resembling policy, and a incorrigible liar to boot.
