Brass, very cool Ibis. I like that it comes standard with Nobby Nics, my favorite tire.
Mike & Crager, what is with all that white stuff?
Jeff, you have to grab one of those rigs and come down to Laguna for the nice dirt, prime Fall weather today.

Want an Electric fatbike but do not want to pay 4K for one.
I am asking 1,000.00 for this 18 inch medium pugsley with a Bionx e drive. The bike has 62 miles on it and will come tuned and expertly packaged. If interested, contact me. +shipping

I've ridden 26" 3x's for 35 years. Started with '82 Stumpjumper. Finally went to wagon wheels (with 2.6) and 1x this year. Not looking back.

Mike - yes, really love the Onyx hubs. Instant non-clunk engagement, totally silent. Perhaps my favorite single component on the bike :-)
Cragar - cool, welcome to the Mojo 3 club! :-)
Nice bikes all! Think I'll head out for a ride right now, 60+ and sunny today :-)

Hey Mike,
What are you running up front? 26?
I want to convert my Seven Duo to 1x, but probably not Eagle.

Mike & Crager, what is with all that white stuff?
It's the stuff that keeps life interesting! As mentioned above, I started with an '84 Stumpster with 3 rings and dropped the big ring in the mid 90's due to the Techy McTechy tech stuff I encountered in the N. Rockies and the early Gnar Gnarlson of the early freeride days in SEBC and then to SS only (primarily on wagon wheels) for a decade outa pure boredom. I got a fancy 1x on my UPPB - ultra posh plastic bike - and for me too, there is absolutely no looking back.
</Rant>My 50yo body loves this new stuff but I have to say, the direction of 'growing the sport' for the masses over the last decade or so is saddening. All this dumbing down so folks NEVER have to walk and work out the moves is blasphemous to the spirit, like chipping to you climbers. The flow trail devo is an unnecessary scar and really isn't mountain biking, it is BMX in the woods. But, I am lucky b/c up here we are slow and more reluctant to change so just as folks are realizing the lameness of the flow, it is just beginning here and we have a lot less of it. Flow trails are also only in the front country around here as the other primary users,: elk, deer, moose, wolves, etc. aren't pushing for more flow these days. At least we have that going for us! <Rant/>

Cragar,I agree about “flow”trails,we have people over here raking singletrack wide and dumbing down some technical sections.
We have issues.
That same energy could be used to learn how to ride a mountain bike.

Hey Wilbeer, I do not get it and have argued for decades to separate mountain biking from bmx or trick riding types of bicycling and the terra differences between the 2. You don't need a mountain to do back flips, can-cans, etc. however, you do if you want endless techy miles of singletrack and a feeling of being out there. Our moto trails are narrower and do less enviro damage than the single crazily built up flow trail we have. We have to bike parks being built in town and will quench the thirst of the jumpers and maybe some of our front country trails will narrow out but maybe not. The OutdoorLifestylers have been landing here like pigeonshit on a steeple and they screw up the riding areas enough!!
Edit: Yeah Wilbeer the energy/effort is always best when used to learn tech, skill and processes - aka, the old fashioned way. This is a foundation to climbing among other things but in the modern climate of want/need it fast, I believe learning the art/basics/nuances of any given philosophy and activity are evaporating in our modern society. I blame it on Google but really it is the current EGO that is constantly marinated in the internets.

Hey bike dudes....
I need a front and rear 700x35 commuter style set of wheels with tires and that spikey gear thingy on the rear... not disc brakes.
Any of you disposable income types upgrade your beater and have a set of these laying around? Will buy (cheap!!) trade, or barter.
Let me know

On another note...
Anyone here ride DVO suspension? My bud Tom Rogers is their designer and looks to be doing some cool and unique things there. Check em out if unfamiliar.

Here's my little buddy. Living downtown Long Beach on 1st means parking is complicated, if you get home past 4:30.

RJ - Quite possibly. His hair could be described as red and may have been more so at one time. He was a top mountain bike racer in the late 80's and early 90's. Take a look and lemme know.

Just got the "left over" parts from my old bike, plus some miscellaneous new components installed on the new carbon hardtail frame. Tomorrow I'll put some pedals on it and see what it will do.
