ALright don't start 'rusty tromboning' my thread, Wes. I know you gots some pics of sweet tahoe South Shore rock. Post it!!!

Is there anything tasty in DL Bliss? That thing I was on upthread was a turnout befoer the park...okay, but, is there good stuff in the park?

Is the Eagle Creek parking area expanded? It must be, last time I was there they were working it.

You probably blew chunks from drinking Coors instead of the usual Heinekin. I stay at Zephyr Cove CG when at Tahoe. The camping sucks but it's right across the street from the beach, the crux is getting across 50 after a gazillion beers.

Yeah, those look sweet, Wes,

I may check out DL Bliss, I dunno. It's a backup.

How's the hike out to Eagle Lake Cliff, I'm hauling my kid on my back prolly???

Bad Idea?

This has potential for an 'Ultra Badass Climbing Conglomeration'.

I'm just sayin'.....I have doubts about bringing my boy to Space Truckin', but with ze Pie Shop and all the other sh#t out there, gotta be good.

Space Truckin's gonna go I think. I'll document the dismembered areas of the 'old' 1st belay/rap station.

Maybe I'll take a bolt or two.....

Well, the trip went pretty well. I almost passed out on the hike out to ELC (my own fault), had late night bear encounters, and some sweet looking routes. I only did one route because I though I was gonna die!!11

Hey Wes, were you out there on Saturday afternoon with a gal-friend?

TR to come soon. I didn't bring a camera, but others did.

Great looking crag and nice swimming out to the island too!

EDIT:

Cleo, Phil, Will, and that other dude (I forgot his name)...Hope you guys got my note and made it home okay. Cheers, cool hangin' with you guys, and thanks for coming!

Blue,

Thanks for letting us in on your spot. That was one really nice campsite. I hadn't been to either of the crags we hit this weekend.

Sunday, we went to the 90' wall and got roasted. If the creek hadn't been next to the wall, I woulda lost it. Even still, with all the water I drank, my kidneys didn't kick out anything until today.

It was kinda bizarre getting back to the site after climbing on Sunday and seeing this older family there instead of the usual climbing bums. They were really cool though and showed us where Joey the 3-legged dog was hanging out.

Matt, Cleo, and I drove back last night and caught that horrible traffic due to the I-80 repaving project.

No cameras for us, as we went overboard on our last trip out.

Good times. Thanks again.

we used to skinny dip underneath the glass bottom boat.
3 heart attacks, all over 60, so no problem.
more food and gas for us.

the water makes it shrivel, but then the glass makes it look bigger, wtf?

Drinking isn't worth it when it affects your climbing!

Word...

I underestimated the hike in and had a 3-beer breafeast instead of a real one. Stupid! Almost went into what felt like shock. I had to stop and recharge, or charge for the first time, my fuel tank.

The refueling trailmix I had would later cause problems of it's own, that evening with the native wildlife.

Thanks Blue - it was FUN, great site! Eagle Lake was indeed a great crag, and we had fun at 90' wall too, despite the crowd and the roasting. :) Thanks for watching the doggie too!

So, last night my ankle itched like a mo fo, I was clawing at it!. Today I look at 'er and see this...

UNHOLY!!!11!!!

Musta been poison oak or something at Eagle Creek. Maybe a bug bite? No obvious entry wounds with distinctive poison patterns. Still itches and oozes a pussy yellowish substance where I ripped it open through itching.

Gotta be PO.
