She also appears to be one of a handful of contributors who are also women climbers in real life as opposed to some creepy tranny avatar.
And t*r is a breath of fresh air in her own right.
But I've seen more than a handful of posters here who are women climbers in real life, and they contribute much of the life to this forum.
Saw an interview years ago with a disconsolate hippy, who was explaining why his commune fell apart:
"If you're not fair to the chicks, then they leave. And when the chicks leave, the party is over."

Sorry, dirt. When an older man says "I'd do her", it connotes something quite different than when a woman in her early 20s says "I'd do him". Even bearing in mind that both are probably not entirely serious, and that t*r doesn't seem thin skinned, the playing field isn't level. There's enough harassment of females in our society generally, and on and in relation to SuperTopo, that we don't need to encourage it.

Personally, I think it's insane that a young woman would post "He's hot - I'd do him"
on the internet in the year 2008. Seriously, that's knott especially smart, IMKSHO.
There are a lot of creeps out there. Time to wake up!

Back when I was her age, we had to walk to school through 2 feet of snow, uphill both ways...
Seriously, if I had a daughter, she would knott be allowed to date until she was 30.

HK-- You should sign up for a Facebook account just so you can surf all the personal pages and see the sort of things folks routinely post about themselves. TR posting "I'd do him" is way tamer than what goes on there. The key difference is that, unlike the guy-on-guy crisco party we call ST, Facebook has about as many women posters as guys..

When I moved to Boston I became a freshman.... at age 29. Everyone around me was 19. I literally had to get on freaking craigslist to meet a 30 year old woman. Yay internet.... I guess! I couldn't seem to make a damn think work with the youngins other than one night stands and holding their hair when they got far too drunk. :-\
