Babies are grand! My first turns 3 mos. tomorrow. Lovin' every minute of it. I even lost my new job after only 4 mos. about 3 weeks ago and now get to spend every minute with her, getting "let go" was the best thing that could've ever happened to me! Best of luck!!

Firstly - WHAT THE FVCK ARE YOU DOING ON THE INTERNET?
Get your butt in gear and get to the hospital ASAP!
Secondly - get ready to experience the grossest thing you as a male will EVER see - the live birth of a humanoid baby.
A few visual images - picture a naked blue skinned lizard wrapped within skintight cheesecloth and drenched in the vilest bloody green snot and mucus from the worst case of flu you have ever seen.
And this is after the "head" had contorted itself out of the part of your wife that you NEVER would have imagined could POSSIBLY open up that big.
Remember to tell her to "breathe" - they love that sh!t!
Good on ya mate - just joshing -
Rick (Daddy of only one - it was enough) D
P.S. You really ought to think about having a few more - us old dads will be drawing on Social Security in a few and need some fresh contributions to the kitty - so crank em out and get em to work asap!

But Nita - Bluering smokes too much - so it is likely his kids will be premmies and drive up my health care costs even more than they are already!

mazel tov!
to Sparky and Ms. Sparky and baby Sparky
TR would be great, but you only need to post the picture of baby Sparky wrapped in the bivy-bag.
Karl, hard offwidth would be what baby Sparky just did (or hard squeeze chimney?) But Ms. Sparky's role was quite different. From what I hear, it isn't like anything a guy could ever imagine or experience...

Yee haw, hoping it all comes out OK.
After both our twins had been plucked from within via Cesarian, but before mom had been reassembled, I asked the Doc "What's that basketball thingy on her stomach?" "That's her uterus." Gulp. I stopped watching after that. I'm never doin' that again, and mom agrees.

Yup, that's what being born and climbing "the Narrows" have in common. Many cry after the process.
Hope all is great!

26 hours is rough!
She has got to be plumb sick of you feeding her ice chips and saying "breathe" by now.
I am surprised she is still hanging - my first wife only hung with the natural childbirth scene for 18 hours before she starting screaming for the candy man.
I recall it went something like this - "Give me drugs or I'll kill all of you!"

YAH - way to go to both of you (mostly her):)
Just think - only two more years until you sleep a whole night through!
The question is...will this inspire a thread about people who bring crying babies to the crags?
