hey there say...

one more note, after reading a few things here...
SOME FOLKS MENTIONED LOWER BACK PAIN,
(i think) ...

i never had low back pain, ever--but after
working around some boxed items, to reach a table-top
just last year, well:
i got my first ONE...

*(it was not immediate, it snuck up by the end of the week)
i could NOT figure out, why????
until...

i thus remembered this:
way way wayyyyy, back, years ago, when i was pregnant,
we lived in an old house that
was SLOPPED...

what i learned was this:

standing on sloped floor, facing the sink,
and HEAVY belly, while washing,
did MAKE my low back hurt then...

while i was trying to learn from this, and reading up on it,
i found this great answer, and it worked...
no more lower back pain...

HOWEVER... i learned this, too, which was obvious:

do NOT stand straight and LEAN like a tree, or, even bend and lean OVER
stuff, to continually REACH other stuff...

(do? climbers, i think?, do this a lot?) :O

your back strains, while you DO this, as, it had to support your
body 'hanging way over forward' where it should not be...

yep-- i stopped doing that and moved the stuff out of the
way, so i stand RIGHT up to the table-shelf and use it...

CHECK WHAT YOU DO...
you will be very surprise, the THINGS you lean over, just
to grab tools, etc, while being 'too lazy' to just move something
over and get up close, to work there, etc...

here is what took that away... this position LETS the back
lay BACK in place and undoes the 'pulling that the muscles' did,
when you stretched them out reaching over and forward, against
gravity...

sure hope this helps, for either rottingjohnny,
or anyone else that wonderful WHAT is going wrong,
with the lower back ( making sure, of course that your
trouble is not pinched nerves and discs, etc--that is
ENTIRELY DIFFERENT) ...

ALSO, it is good to have some stomach muscle, strength,
to help the lower back, too...

hey there say, ken m...

THAT is the info, i was going to look for to share...

thank you for sharing...

the "classic" description is pain in the back/butt area, that radiates all the way down to the foot.

without that, I'd go on a pretty significant expedition to explore the possibility of other causes.

that is what helped me learn what was wrong...

there was a few 'test' questions, too, that folks can ask
themselves about the pain...

but that was the MAIN one...

and of course, you will know, if the relief comes,
then, too... from the stretches...

Jody - shut the F UCK up.

RJ - try a couple muscle relaxers. If they help, it's muscle tension related. See the previous posts. If not..... Nerve pain sucks. You're gonna die. Oxycodone will ease your suffering. New health care = death panels for you my friend.

RJ! I know you are active with cc skiing, but maybe it's time to give up that skating schist & go back to classic, which is way easier on your butt.

Other than that, more wine for the old-age whines is always good for Heidi & me.

Not so sure about that Fritzi. Just came across this today while cleaning the house so my street cred isn't in doubt. I gots butt hurt aplenty, too.

RJ, just rub some red klister on it.

Dude, jus smoke some pot, you'll forget about it;)

Seriously so many great antidotes sincerely written here. Many props to the participants. Much wisdom. i hope you recover fast rj.

Did anybody else get a visual of BM laying on his stomach, crowning his buttocks toward the sky, squealing like a pig over a spit??

Ha

He's right tho don't cha know. If your feeling the pain, try it. Sorta a reverse osmosis thing.. Worked for me!

But it did t remedy the problem. The your having always occurs when we least expect it. Right. It's cause we're doing something queer to our body and it's not ready for it.. Like trying to do a 400lb deadlift while twisting to see the hottie that jus walked by the window. All athletes push their bodies beyond normalancy. By "normalancy" I'd use the example of let's say, a postalperson. They may walk all day delivering their packages, but if they don't train for a marathon they'll never be a good runner. Or sumpin like that..

Falling asleep will finish tomorooooo

Tradman...My neighbor said a chiro would fix it in 2 visits....After 6 visits i asked the chiro about PT...He didn't want to share any beta on PT ...My neighbor was suprised and remarked the chiro was more focused on padding his check book ...That's when i started reading about piriformis stretches and core workouts...

Four single syllable words, and you can't follow directions... Jody SAD!
Cops shoot people for not obeying commands consisting of two single syllable words. BAD!

+1 for inversion table. Just don't go upside down for too long after a few shots of Tenessee Honey....

Jody, I will not engage with you until you lose 20 lbs and post a current picture of yourself climbing a 5.11 finger crack in daisy dukes. Good day, ma'am.

STFU all you squabblers.

Chiros have an amazeing capacity to be completly full of sh#t predators who just want to build a practice up and milk the insurance companys. If you find a good one though they can help. The key is to find soimeone willing to give you a single adjustment or at the most 2 or 3 cracks and then you have to do the PT If he tells you that he wants to see you every week run like hell.

Funny how a discussion of a condition like sciatica with emotional roots (and causes) touches off deep-seated emotions like rage.

Tradman...You nailed it.. this chiro was using a spring loaded device to re-align my ex-wife's ribs..My ex had cancer thru out her body and in her ribs which were fracturing and trying to mend..this knuckle head was blasting her ribs thinking it would help alleviate the pain.. Quack , quack..
