Iron Monkey rocks...

Once Upon a Time in China...

I think Bruce Lee is weak... dude barely ever gets hit and is always kicking a$$, how is that fun?

edit: I think Bruce Lee movies are weak... I am sure he would have crushed my skull in an instant :)

locker, is that......BETTY! and the evil legions from France??

Enter the Dragon has always been my favorite. Bruce was great, but Jim Kelly made the flick.

You guys are so missing the boat.

Old School, Seven Samurai as has already been mentioned.

New School, Warriors Way.

F*cking, Cowboys and Ninjas are you shitting me? Too cool, with Geoffrey Rush even.

C'mon people, keep up on your current events.
Edit: Not a serious "Of All Time" entry, but for a stylized western/action/martial arts, I gotta sell it!

Red Belt is awesome.

Any movie with people flying around on hidden cables and CGI special effects is automatically eliminated from contention.

I loved Five Kung Fu Daredevil Heroes.
It had people flying around, though.
Interestingly (to me), a few days later we saw
what we thought was an Eastern European movie which
involved a trick VW bug and some nuns,
and it had been dubbed by the same crew as
Five Kung Fu Daredevil Heroes. We could identify all
the voices (oh, that's the Princess...that's the General...
that's the Mongolian, etc.)

Some "classics" I got around to watching left me unimpressed: Seven Samurai (great influence on future movies but so melodramatic), same thing with Citizen Kane - boring and self indulgent, Chinatown (great subtext but not a fantastic film). Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon not a classic but just as overrated IMO.

Bruce Lee was awesome, but his films were just ok. Still the tops in martial arts though.
Enter the Dragon - hollywood movie with all the trimmings.
Game of Death - where he fights kareem. It was unfinished at the time of his death and they used a double to finish it a few years later.
Way of the dragon - where he fights Chuck Norris. Great fighting, sucky movie making.
Maybe I got those two backwards?

jackie chan is awesome. The outtakes are the best parts. In his prime that dude could probably sent 5.12 without ever having climbed in his life.

Jet Li is pretty good too.
