Last night, under the influence of nothing beyond her usual inner creativity, xxx divulged that, in the interest of transparency our PE has changed his name, effective 1/20, to Adolf Peckerwood. Please pass it on. Shout it from high towers. The real question is: who would pay to get a Peckerwood Steak or to go to Adolf Peckerwood Real Estate Mogul Academy and Nail Salon? But I suppose he'll work that out if problems arise.

While MB is simply an arsehole and an idiot....lets put down the rose-tinted glasses and not forget that the Obama administration sat on its thumbs and refused to properly punish a mountain of fraud perpetrated by America's financial institutions. I really believe this was a huge mistake...undermining the narrative that Democrats could at least be a restraining influence on Wall street political muscle....for comparison, look what Bush senior did in the aftermath of the S&L crisis and even Bush jnr. with the tech bubble.

He would have made a terrible President at the time. period
and he is a war hawk, so if you were to predict what would have happened
we can say with almost 100% accuracy, more bombs would have fallen
and more children would have died

If he was to make a case that brings Trump down by exposing his Russian connections or knowledge of what they were doing
then I will have some respect for him.

Craig, I think the point is that both Bush administrations were able to mount reasonably robust responses to widespread financial fraud...the Obama administration did not.
Would Republicans have been less lenient? maybe but its hard to get less lenient than zero (or 1 very low-level perp perhaps? cant't remember).
I'm as liberal as it gets, but its hard to polish that turd.

we lose, just kill us all off
we are too weak to stand up to the "Right Wing" bully assault
you bullies can take over and have your day
we should have done more... but it would have been opposed by the Republican Congress, like every thing else
nothing got done because Obama was handcuffed
I have had one issue from the start,
vote out the Republican Congress if you want something to happen for the good
Until that happens, we are screwed
and forget the Dems be able to do anything, because it will not happen until we have a filibuster majority
