Kurt,

Tarbuster has to return a rental car after an appointment in Hamilton. Sounds like he'll be ready to go to Butte between 7:00 and 8:00pm Friday the 13th. I know that you have Fridays off, but I figgered that you'd want to blast town before then.

I told Roy that I would be in Missoula waterslidin' with the kids that day, and can head back to Butte at his convenience. We'd prolly roll into Butte around dark (10ish), and he can have the option to be shuttled out to the gang, stay at my place that night, or whatever he chooses. That's all I know for now.

Wow, stoked to have finally come across this thread. Pen me in for a definate maybe. It would be great to meet up with some more local climbers. I live near Hamilton
(home to Blodget and Lost Horse canyons) and would be happy to carpool from here or the Missoula area.

Just a plug for a possible side trip:
Blackleaf Canyon near Choteu, MT (about 170mi N of Butte). 5 pitch incredible limestone sport climbing 5.6-12. Many routes plus literally miles and miles of potential.

also sounds like Dom and Fruh(from some of my TRs) will be out for the week...as well as a handful of Bozemanites who hope to come out for a day or so too...

I probably won't be able to make it after all. I just got back from a week in Saskatchewan, driving all the way. Family. Swift Current - north and somewhat east of where you'll be. (Actually, I got all the way to Regina.) About 5,000 km of driving altogether, in a week.

As you might guess, I need a break from driving. But maybe I'll get recharged, work out the time off, and be there anyway. You never know.

Have fun!

Talked to the band yesterday...sounds like they got a bar gig on the 14th...so they are now planning on the 15th/16th? or the following weekend...either way it should be a good time...

Thanks for the Bumps Todd, nice pics too!

here's a couple I ran across from December...

Heading out that way in an hour or so...should be a good day out there...

Cheers!

The band confirmed for Sunday the 16th (sounds like an early evening show for this one) and the following Saturday, the 21st. So either weekend you should be set for some live tunes...

Camping is getting close to being pinned down too...Hopefully Mojede will eventually pop in with details...
