I think I facebook'd Ricardo a year or two ago. The funniest story ever with him was after he solo'd South Seas. He sat down with us at the Pizza Deck, and I didn't recognize him at first. He is from Honduras, so is fairly dark-skinned, but he was so DIRTY after his solo I thought he was BLACK! And I'm wondering, holy frig, I haven't met more than two or three black climbers in thirty years, and here's this black dude who just solo'd El Cap?? What the .....
Then I realized it was Ricardo! Man, did I laugh!
