6. If I’m a foreign citizen and have a winter home in the U.S.
(Ouray for example), where I reside six months of the year, do I
qualify for the Senior Pass?
No. Owning property or paying taxes in the U.S. does not automatically
qualify you for a Senior Pass. You must be a permanent U.S. resident, or
a U.S. citizen.

Seems like it is a list that made it around some time in the early eighties , as it said in the post where I pinched it from.
I could add some of the things that were fun, Or memorable that are not on the list but
As an intro, and as what to try to get done on a 1st visit to the Ditch, it is a great list.
Better in November for sure.
Just for fun let's see the next picture posted- [ seems the # 454 did not turn up a pictures so let's try again
Then also no #455, so see below, random roll of the pre verb I'll dice?,!

Nice place, Moose.
Hope you are getting stronger and healthier, my friend.
I was able to get back to sleep for several hours.
It's nearly 4:20 again. No plans to smoke. No smoke to plan it around.
It's nearly August 6 again, too. Seventy years ago, a lifetime ago, American ingenuity led to the atomic bombs being dropped at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, expunging tens of thousands of non-combatants (but that's hardly a new approach to war, considering Shanghai's experience in the beginning of the conflict and the holocaust--what a shameful thing for the so-called Greatest Generation to have against it).
For those who have not read Hiroshima by John Hersey, you should. It's only 30,000 words long, recounting six individuals' experiences as they survived the initial attack. There is a new edition being published, so it will be easy to find.
I can't help it, Moose. The image of a divided Europe is what I lived with in my childhood, like you. And the fact that the bomb helped create that world is to blame. So this event, these two events, the bombs, didn't just affect the ones on whom they fell, but the whole of Europe and the "Free World," as well.
Important history like this should be learned and taught well, not just brushed over with air. And the phrase "It's the bomb" has never endeared itself to me as it only reminds me of one thing.
My parents were married on the tenth of August. They had not heard of the bombing of Hiroshima before they headed to Lovers Leap for their honeymoon, using the new car (1940 was as "new" as they came then) of Dad's brother-in-law and a gift of gasoline ration stamps from my Grampa Bill. They read about it three or four days later when they returned, expecting Dad to have been given orders for the Pacific.
This was not to be, however. Dad was given his discharge shortly after his return to duty. He never had to fly another mission.
But here is the "discouraging word" in all this:
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/aug/02/hiroshima-bombing-70-years-on-eric-schlosser
http://www.theguardian.com/news/defence-and-security-blog/2015/jul/23/70-years-after-hiroshima-nuclear-weapons-threaten-us-all
Schlosser is best known for his books Fast Food Nation, a searing exposé of America’s food industry, and Reefer Madness, a provocative examination of the US’s black market in sex and drugs.
I'm pretty sure that if I were to take a poll of people under the age of thirty, nine of ten would not know the significance of the words "August 6."
There was a class which began to be taught in the fifties to the detriment of history, a class inspired by TV, I fear, called "Current Events." It has pretty much fallen by the way now, but it paved the way for ignorance of history, in my opinion.
Where have all the flowers gone, once more?
ISIS pissed all over them and they died.
Bin Laden stepped on them and they withered.
Putin sh#t on them, but they refused to grow.
And a lame duck sits in the White House spinning his "legacy."
POLITICS & RELIGION are two buckets of shyte.
History has become warped.
Theology has ever been about petty BS.
End of rant.

I finally made it to the Palo Alto VA hospital yesterday and it's HUGE!
Pretty daunting, like the first view of El Cap. "How am I ever gonna find my way around there?" They have volunteer guides. Mine actually KNEW that the cardiology section had recently moved from floor two to floor four! He was seventeen and a volunteer. Bless him or I'd have gone off my rocker trying to figure that one out!
They gave me an echo-cardiogram and the consulting doctor, with fresh blood on his scrubs, told me to come back for an angiogram to determine whether they should just go ahead with a by-pass instead of merely replacing or repairing the mitral valve.
I think I've gotten the hang of the travel to and from PA. Thank you, Jesus!

Other than those cherished first wordsYOU MADE IT!
I am still caught by that funny fact that is not funny at all
It's the bomb
A terrible term and no ironic poetic license can
Erase the feeling of disgrace that it was my
generation that co-opted that call.
Now back to read of your Rx adventure. . .
If you had said any more I would know more too
What rhymes?
Seeing those pics. From Cor.
Smiles and (brushless) bundles I got not,
no trees here either - bud-less
Crapped out,
but
Pennies from heaven
I found twenty bucks
on the the golf course!
Hooray!
I may raid a piggy bank or two,
That's good that there are two.
Have a good constitutional,
And don't sweat the bomb
Almost no one else does.

Gnome,
The baby hummingbirds are the best! Thank you!
And the rock face with the eyebrows looks like . . . I know this is strange, but the face reminds me of Ents.
Smoky here again today.
Mouse, so glad you made it to PA VA and had a good guide: from the size of the place as you describe it, sounds as though the guides are a good idea. So, what's next for you? Waiting for a call from the doc? I am just keeping you on my morning prayer list, for health and a joyful life. If I need to add more, I know you will let me know. :)
Okay, back to the desk for me...
