Yeah great. L.A. is rapidly on the way to being the first of America's biggest cities to go bankrupt, but they have the funds to replace the classic Stoney Point sign. Gotta wonder what that cost. Stupid and arrogant beyond belief!

The old sign belongs in some sort of climbing history museum.

At placerita canyon park I noticed a new sign as well. They have also done extensive trail maintaince on paths that were perfectly fine. Many rock barriers were created to stop bikers from speeding (bikes have never been a big issue on that path). Plus those rocks get in the way of trail running and even a group of people walking must break formation to go through the barriers single file. I agree with Kris. Waste of money

OK - I'll cave - the new sign sucks - it did not need to be replaced. The damn busy bodies never stop!

yep ...I am slowly getting my climbing back ... been away for a life time ... wondering WTF took me so long to rtn. Anyway, the s-crack has been on my bucket list, and I got that done on Saturday. I have to say that I did stop to take in the moment as I topped out. It was pretty good to rtn to that spot, hangin' off the wall like that, after so many, many years.

I might be there tomorrow afternoon.
I think I've said hi to you before.
I started climbing again about a year ago.
Mostly Sat mornings ... maybe 2x a month.
Getting better was slow at first, but my
confidence is coming back quickly now.
I never was and never will be really good,
but I always have fun.
And, yep, I agree ... Stoney Rocks

Ha.... Your Kid looks like all the other Kids climbing out there... there are about 50 new faces this season.... and all the young ones look the same to me.
Its hard to remember all the names and faces, unless I go climbing with them.
And yes I do recall meeting you, but I couldn't pick you out in a lineup.....
Hope to see you soon.
