Are there climbing walls in prison?
Yeah in Norway
Are climbing and balling in prison complimentary pursuits?

Five Golden Apples
Five golden apples I did find
upon my journey through these mines
The first a warning you might heed
this journeys end could be unkind
A second portent truth be told
someday I’d find that I’d grown old
This cautioning I filed away
to ponder on my dying day
The third a bird with broken wing
who would not fly but still could sing
It’s broken body held to heart
‘till from this world it was to part
When next an angel I did see
with eyes to ground on bended knee
This tiny world revealed to me
and all our idiosyncrasies
The fifth a lesson known by rote
For love there is no antidote
Five golden apples gave to me
I’ve shared them now and set them free

Start. Stop. Wait.
Start over. Stop again. Wait some more.
Now keep waiting. And wait some more.
Stop. You're waiting too hard. Relax.
Stop. You're too relaxed. Wait a minute before you relax.
And maybe we can get this pile of gross materials and other stuff moved eventually.
A snag has developed in that the movers are still in the process of moving someone else's pile of stuff from yesterday and can't get to my pile of stuff until tomorrow.
Or maybe Sunday.

A snippet from the net:
World-famous businessman and “Celebrity Apprentice” guru, Donald Trump, is no stranger to gambling.
“Oh I like a lot of them, over the years I’ve owned casinos and I still do,” he muses. “But my favorite is Blackjack. I’m pretty good.”
What’s the most he’s ever won? “Well, I can’t tell you that because legally I’m not allowed to talk about the casino world,” he explains. “But it was a lot.”
And there you have it.

So, has anyone heard from Mouse yet that he is all moved?
Mouse, welcome to your new abode. Just remember that Flames is your natural home, no matter where you sleep.
I hope the move went well, that settling in is easy, and that you are content and comfortable in your new space.

zB,
Hot Creek Hot Springs: are they medicine springs? Do animals come to wade, or doing, or eat the mineral salts? There are some hot springs (well, there are many in the Yellowstone area) over in Idaho, where animals come to lick the salts, and sometimes to soak. Well-worn trails from the animals.
Fascinating place, enjoyed the video, but yes, interesting music. f*f

Hot Creek was a night's cheap entertainment after a day of skiing at Mammoth.
Apparently it is closed these days (2012 notice)
According to Jon Regelbrugge Inyo National Forest supervisor for the Mammoth Lakes region, Hot Creek is “… not likely to reopen unless we learn enough about the predictability of geologic hazards associated with Hot Creek that we would be comfortable with some degree of certainty that we aren’t exposing the public to unpredictable and uncertain hazards.”

from AoxomoxoA, back in the day

the song the persona & the vibe
St. Stephen
by the Grateful Dead
Saint Stephen with a rose
In and out of the garden he goes
Country garden in the wind and the rain
Wherever he goes the people all complain
Stephen prospered in his time
Well, he may and he may decline
Did it matter, does it now?
Stephen would answer if he only knew how
Wishing well with a golden bell
Bucket hangin' clear to Hell
Hell halfway twixt now and then
Stephen fill it up
and lower down and lower down again
Lady finger, dipped in moonlight
Writing, "What for?", across the morning sky
Sunlight splatters, dawn with answer(s)
Darkness shrugs and bids the day goodbye
Speeding arrow, sharp and narrow
What a lot of fleeting matters you have spurned
Several seasons with their treasons
Wrap the babe in scarlet colors, call it your own
Did he doubt or did he try?
Answers aplenty in the bye and bye
Talk about your plenty and talk about your ills
One man gathers what another man spills
Saint Stephen will remain
All he lost he shall regain
Seashore washed by the suds and foam
Been here so long,
he's got to callin' it home
Fortune comes a crawlin',
calliope woman
Spinnin' that curious sense of your own
Can you answer?
Yes, I can
What would be the answer to the answer man?
High green chilly winds and windy
Vines and loops around the twining
Shafts of lavender, they're crawling to the sun
Wonder who will water all the children of the garden
When they sigh about the barren lack of rain
and
troop so hungry 'neath the sky,
ay
Underfoot the ground is patched
With climbing arms of ivy
wrapped around
The Manzanita, dark and shiny in the breeze.
William Tell has stretched the bow
Till it won't stretch no furthermore
And all that they require in change
That hasn't gone before
