It's the amazing what some of the republicans on this tread can justify in their head as OK...the Iraq invasion being one, torture another, the killing of innocent lives yet another.

China caves to Obama's pressure to revalue their currency (so that Fatty can make more money).

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/21/business/global/21yuan.html?hp

HONG KONG — The Chinese central bank announced Sunday afternoon that any changes in the value of its currency, the renminbi, would be gradual, in a clear attempt to reassure the Chinese people that a move Saturday evening toward a more flexible currency would not result in a sharp or disruptive change.

The central bank’s statement coincided with signs of a backlash in China, where many view a weak currency and the accompanying strong exports as a sign of national sovereignty. The Chinese decision to tolerate a more flexible currency drew caustic postings on Chinese Internet sites, like one on Sohu.com: “I didn’t imagine I would see the day when China would submit to America and agree to appreciation of the renminbi.”

It is sad that collectivism genetically trumps individualism. Hordes of mindless automatons -- blindly devoted to a flag, party, or a leader -- have been running over (by definition) non-synchronized, pondering (thus, weaker) individualist villages and territories. It's much easier to bring 100 automatons than 100 individualists under one flag, one cause. The humanity's gene pool reeks of this legacy. Public education, intellectual laziness, blind faith, gullibility, and finally, the state are inevitable expressions of this evolutionary tsunami.

Actually Dipshit the disengagement from Iraq is in full swing.
Certainly some of it is a redeployment to where we should have focused all along.
But you are just a mixed(up) metaphor kinda guy.

Dude, I have a herd of family serving in Iraq and Afganistan. They are moving troops out of Iraq so quickly they are selling materiel off to the highest bidder as fast as they can. It is cheeper to sell than re-locate. Like it or not we are disengaging from Iraq.

Because the are just not smart enough to lead the USA, (home of the free, with a chuckle)..

…and they most certainly don't understand that in order to run things it takes more than just catch phrases, and empty rhetoric…

I mean.. it's pretty sad when all you see is the few rotten 100's that ruin it for the other 3 good republicans..

In response to Barton's mindlessness…. VP Biden was able to put things into context…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABToOl-xbHE&feature=player_embedded

When I here these two one after the other.. I really get the sense that Barton really is a great republican who really only wants to make life a little easier for business, and not any better for the humans all around him (this just happens to be my view of practically all repugs.. and I think I am right)

This just puts everything into context for me.. When I watched this.. I was thinking it was mainly about Palin… but it almost fits for all pugs…

We still blame WWII on Hitler

Actually, Dr F, a lot of the blame for WWII rests on the shoulders of the Conservative Prime Minister Chamberlain who was more interested in APPEASING Hitler, rather than doing what was necessary.

I believe we can all agree on the root cause of the state's $20-billion budget gap.

It's welfare: all those millions of taxpayer dollars going to recipients who line up for their government handouts instead of competing in the marketplace on a level playing field like the rest of us, who don't pay their fair share of taxes and who get protected by a politically powerful lobby.

Yes, I'm talking about the business community.

Skip, I wonder about a political party that considers American citizens to be "special interest groups" and consider corporations to be people.

Skipt it's easy to tell how deluded you are because you assume that when someone is disappointed or frustrated it's because they've finally "seen the light" and come to share your worldview.

I look forward to "any Republican" showing up on the ballot this fall, since that is the only Republican consistently testing as "sure to win."
