...in a US economy where blue collar jobs were once the backbone. An economy you no longer care about
Yeah, jobs and an economy off-shored by republicans and guys exactly like trump who delight in f*#king blue collar guys like you in the ass every single day.

Mining is not sustainable...period.
Oh, you're down for sustainability? Sweet, you should come out and whack some coyotes and beaver with me when trapping season ramps up.
Nothing more sustainable and functional than fur clothing. Bring F with you, we'll have a ball.

The mine was closed because cheap chinese steel undercut the need to have the mine producing the raw material(molybdenum) to harden steel made in the US. Whats not sustainable for both the economy and the environment is being reliant on poorly made steel in China that is then shipped across the ocean for the US Market.
People like Trump gotta have that cheap Chinese steel.

The mine closed for a number of reason, one being a environmental disaster. Then like most of the mining operations they wanted the government to clean up their shithole.

Let's be excruciatingly clear: rather than honor pension obligations to retirees and doing something about their pollution, the republican / conservative board members and CXOs of America's steel companies saw the chance to bail on those pensions and pollution efforts in a single shot - China - and they all took it. F*#king every one of you guys in the process. What a surprise - except to the clueless rubes who just handed America over to those very same guys expecting something different.

Just like the mining bosses. No surprise there.

Trump accuses Obama of putting up ‘roadblocks’ to a smooth transition
The president-elect’s criticisms come amid days of verbal sparring with Obama. Trump also made it clear that he is perturbed by a number of actions the outgoing administration is taking related to Israel.
This is so bizarre. Trump is NOT the President, and does not set policy for the country.
Supporters say "give him a chance"----well, he has been given a chance, and seems to not understand his job, nor when it begins.

Take out CA and Trump won the popular vote by 1.4 million votes. Yeah, do away with the electoral college. Just let CA decide the elections.
except that the votes in Ca would not count any more than the votes in, say, Texas, or Wyoming. All votes would count the same.
What is your argument that the votes of citizens in one state should be counted more than those in other states?
Yes, there are a lot of voters in Ca----however, in the context of the entire country, NO ONE can win only with CA. The vast majority MUST come from other states.

Couch master- we are in three wars (Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria) rather than the two under bush. And that's ignoring the other countries Obama messed with- Ukraine, tunesia, Egypt, Libya etc...
Not sure how people are blind to this reality
How many troops do we have in Syria?
You forgot Korea. We are still at war there.

I suppose Obama is free to set US foreign policy for the next couple of weeks, but doing so in a way that's a substantial departure from decades of consistent, bi-partisan US policy (supporting Israel against UN foolishness) seems more bizarre than Trump making it clear that Obama is now acting as the lamest of ducks.
Obama's turned out to be a pretty sore loser (not exactly, but close enough--he made it clear that the election was to a large extent a referendum on his "legacy").
Obama flouted conventional behavior (such as the sitting president not getting deeply enmeshed and personally invested in the election to replace him) whenever he perceived it suited his purpose--just getting a small taste of his own medicine.

I get your point. And you're right, such comments don't happen here. Well, except for those on the left continually calling Trump supporters stupid and other names. Not a day goes by, in fact. The disdain and contempt the left feels for middle americans is shameful. Deplorable even.
DMT, why are you trolling? You clearly have the intellect to understand that when a group of people that YOU would call deplorable (neo-nazis, skinheads, KKK, etc) support someone, and that is pointed out, that does not mean that everyone else falls into the same category. That has been the right's strategy. I'm not sure why they would proudly associate themselves with those groups, but they appear to have done so.
For most of the middle class that supported Trump, the disdain and contempt primarily consists of considering them suckers, which even you seem to accept.

Yet another "let's be excruciatingly clear" sort of deals: Libya, Syria and other current Mideast conflicts are simply unavoidable after-effects of W and the neocon's destabilizing adventurism in the region.

...substantial departure from decades of consistent, bi-partisan US policy...
You mean aiding, abetting and cow-towing to Israel who has never had an intention of completing a two-state peace process under any circumstance. And of course the continual lack of a resolution to the Israeli / Palestinian conflict is another primary reason why Americans keep dying in the Mideast. So long as we refuse to pressure Israel into peace our young will continue dying in the region every decade.

Free trade agreements have enjoyed bipartisan support. Sorry, the democrat party is not going to get to take the high holy ground on this one.
The democrats are not without responsibility for naive trade agreements, but make no mistake, the board members and CxOs who drove all this were almost all republicans to a man.

It is NOT a departure from previous foreign policy---Bibi's is the departure, which he is promoting in this interim period to take advantage of uncertainty of leadership in America. America has clearly and overtly supported a two-state solution clear back to when Carter worked out the Camp David accords. OUR policy has not changed a bit. Israel's has, and Bibi's change is not even supported by the electorate of Israel.
Oh, and tell us when Obama came out in favor of Hillary, instead of Bernie?
My image of Obama is inviting Trump to the oval office within a couple days of his win, and ordering the administration to assist in the transition.

Yeah, if we could just get the Israelis to agree to exterminate themselves then everything in the Mideast will be peachy. After all, the brutal civil wars in Syria and Yemen and the rise of ISIS must be the fault of those sneaky jews.
(Maybe they are a little responsible--if they could have done a better job against Hezbollah, maybe it wouldn't have been able to turn the tide in Assad's favor.)
