Whacha doin here???

K I have a luxury lifestyle. I live in two places. City and country house. Work four days at a hospital, then shuttle to the country house or stay at the city house for the three day weekend. I was in the city place this weekend. The fiance left Ojai very early Friday am for the Tejon Ranch Christmas Bird Count. So just heard about the newly arrived packages Tuesday evening....it's a fun life but I do need to maintain two sets of everyday items and we both always have a cooler in the car.

I missed it all. I was so busy, and when I got around to it, it was already middle of December. Darn. Well, Merry Christmas to all of you!

My secret Santa struck again....

#3

This one has Royal Robbin's account of the second ascent of The Nose.

Thanks x3 secret Santa!

Gotta say, I think this gifting style is unprecedented for STSS.
I like the time release time capsule!
Again, I'd love to know who you are, if you choose.
If not, please know that I'm very appreciative of these vintage journals.

Warm thanks to Santa Leggs for "Wild", on my short list for soooo long...will be regifted to the hospital women's unit bookshelf when I finish! The novel looks terrific too...all are wonderful choices. Pictured below with my DogVacay guest dog, Skyler, also an excellent holiday companion. Just arrived at the country house in Ojai with three guest dogs, all settled in for a long winter's nap. A small tree this year is just right. Perched on vintage fruit boxes from the fiances family grocery business. Cheers!

Greetings! Again this year my Secret Santa provided the best gifts!

The lemons must be fresh cut from a tree - what a treat for us poor souls in the Great Plains.. We don't have fresh things. Also, it was very cold today and fortunately we were home when Santa UPS arrived so the lemons didn't freeze!

Thanks Secret Santa!

Thank you, Secret Santa, for expanding my culinary horizons! I foresee cricket brownies and bars in my future. I may even have to order the giant inflatable insects that the box advertised.
Merry Christmas!

After waiting unpatiently for days I opened the little SSMax blue box this Christmas morning and was pleasantly surprised with a wonderful BD Gizmo headlamp. Superb!

Now, I must admit, I am a little unnerved by the Domeland guidebook/headlamp combo and veiled invite to climb...what kind of 2016 am I in for!?

One thing for sure, it'll be well illuminated.

Thanks SSMax!

Happy Holidays to you and yours and may your new year be filled with safe adventures!

In the grand NeeBee style I am covered from head to toe. Let's see...foot warmers, earrings, necklace, votive candle, little pots and decorative jar. As I dug through the box more things kept appearing. And if you've ever received anything from Neebs you know how she wraps things. There's no just "tearing into it". You have to be on your A game and have tools and a clear head!
Thank you Neebs! Every gift beautiful and the feet warmers...well they'll get put to excellent use.
