I never know from numbers
I ever just chased numbers
But counted some things
Counted on that - if I made geezer
It'd be a miracle
counted on the track of other climbers
So many of whom never made that crak
The trajectory of life as it passses twenty years is all about going forward
While keeping an eye out for looking back
All at once in the last days of heat-wave - the daze of another summer passing
Sending weather-once the point of many months of effort- realized
In the surmounting of "The Climb Of A Lifetime"- now I itch to go
To climb and stamp my ticket
To declare to the indifferent walls -
that time has not faceted me to the point where the risk and lack of fitness
Out shines this need to go
I stayed East so what did I expect?
By the wayside- I've been left
all my best to those I contributed to
To folk who's creations were a part of me
Loved ones & competitors in the search for meaning
A sincere thanks to those who took what I could share & vamoosed to the legal states to consume the life of a libertarian be as much a metafore for an erstwhile modern pirate only hoarding th good things in life
And smiles from two women the greatest climbers always have great big smiles!
(Such a rare glimpse!)

Is what it is all about.
I get the Blues when I think how when I could walk the approach
I drove up that private driveway.
Now that I can not wak in(more like;I'd have to limp/drag az out)

Don't give me no flak, jack
Some one done run off with my land . . .
No, seriously where'd my Garden go?
The house was fully occupied as the Swimming Pool company
stripped away the property. There used be a sublime hang in a wood hillside.
What thing to have been a witness to

Idyll of the Valley
Early Wednesday morning, Odin’s holy day,
While I slept I had a dream of the time I ran away.
I ran away from boring school and Navy bullsh!t, too;
I ran away to climb and play, like many others do.
I met guys who turned me on to knots and pins and rope
And I became a climbing bum who also smoked some dope
The scene was serene and all lights were green;
My buddy and me climbed like an oiled machine.
But our thing didn’t last, I ended up in a cast--
There was naught I could do, it happened so fast.
We soon partnered with others but still remain brothers.
After all these long years I can still hear our mothers:
“I don’t want to hear about it.”

Not at all my opinion about the guidebook.
This could have been traded off for the second ascent of the NA Wall, for instance. (Guidebooks are so overrated.)
