I was a little shocked by Michelle Wolf's routine myself.
First, I was shocked that Michelle Wolf had been asked to perform at the event. I've seen her a dozen times on Comedy Central, and she's mildly NSFW, to put it mildly. Her bias always made me laugh, like she was the anti-Andrew Dice Clay, or something.
To host the WHCA dinner show show, I figured some writers would be hired to tame her down a bit. But, Ms. Wolf just came right out, and said that Trump is so sexually repellent, he can make a porn star grimace before he even touches her.
Even Wolf was aware that she didn't belong there. About a third of the way through her routine, she suggested that whomever hired her had never seen her perform before.
Xi Jing Ping, of China, should get it. drumpf didn't do anything.
Fidel and Raul Castro probably had some influence, too. North Korea is essentially the last Stalinist nation. With China and Cuba opening up to the rest of the world, North Korea was becoming more and more isolated.
The Iran deal may have encouraged them that the U.S. is not just a global bully.
Twitter rants, epithets and insults are probably far down the list of things that led to the summit with South Korea. If anything, I would guess that Trump is going to screw the whole thing up by cancelling the Iranian deal, or by doing something outrageous to push himself to the forefront of the situation.

She had some cringeworthy moments (only because the people she was roasting were there and it was true) but much of it was hilarious and it was clearly portrayed through the audience reaction.
I honestly liked her much better last night (2 nights ago) than when she was doing bits on the daily show.

I still think that Kim Jung-un will make a fool out of trump. Contrary to what he says about himself, trump is not that bright.
He will probably have bolton, or pompeo explain to him what is going on.

Both Trump and Sanders are habitual liars and their routine has become accepted behavior based on the tell a lie enough times theorem.. The only humor in her skit was calling a spade a spade by calling Sanders what she is , a liar...Boo hoo...Get over it snowflake trumpies...

The video below is a great example of a talking head, Matt Schlapp, trying to justify a double-standard hypocritical conservative position.
Matt Schlapp, a die-hard GOP guy, walked out on Michelle Wolf during the WHCA dinner. Here he attempts to demonstrate that Wolf's comedy routine was inappropriate, but that he's fine with Trump doing worse during the campaign, and as president.

The video low offers no useful information, just innane ranting, and out-of-context video clips. It could be used for a pop quiz in a logic class: identify and correct all flawed logic and defective arguments. It appears to be a typical piece of RT/FSB troll propaganda. ENJOY!
HA! I called B.S. on a video posted by XYZ, which used to be below this post, and it's been taken down. Another minor victory in the Battle for Reality.

ridiculing of ms. huckabee’s appearance?
she said she had a “perfect smokey eye”...
sounds like a compliment to me.
disrespectful of ms. huckabee by saying she lies while she’s seated at the same head table?
i guess we should have given equal time to baghdad bob while he claimed the iraqis were winning.
cause anybody who calls what regularly comes out of the white house press secretary’s mouth “spin” is part of the problem.
that whole act by ms wolf was the most masterful w.h. correspondent’s dinner “roast” since colbert stood next to dubya and said the emperor has no clothes. [with the main difference being that trump is too much of a limp dick to even show up]
and so the whole act could not have been more appropriate given the current context.
when you have a leader who speaks of grabbing women by the pussy, then defends it by saying that was locker room talk all while having dozens of claims of harassment and worse against them? and that’s only the start of the lowest hanging fruit?
well... given who is the head leader of the current group of lying sycophants collectively “leading” the u.s.:
ms. wolf nailed it out of the park.
kudos.

Fascists Compete To Own America
Now might be a really good time to examine the origins and nature of the whole right-wing collusion between business and government
by Thom Hartmann
https://www.commondreams.org/views/2018/04/30/fascists-compete-own-america
Given how reactive hard right snowflakes have gotten in response to a few truth-based jokes from Michelle Wolf, and that Mick Mulvaney has confessed to running a pay-for-play operation out of his congressional office, and Trump is daily breaking the Constitution’s emoluments clause, now might be a really good time to examine the origins and nature of the whole right-wing business/government model known as “fascism.”
“The really dangerous American fascists,” Wallace wrote, “are not those who are hooked up directly or indirectly with the Axis. The FBI has its finger on those. The dangerous American fascist is the man who wants to do in the United States in an American way what Hitler did in Germany in a Prussian way. The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information.”
And continued, “With a fascist the problem is never how best to present the truth to the public but how best to use the news to deceive the public into giving the fascist and his group more money or more power.” Vice President Henry Wallace, 1944

Most Republicans here can easily fend off the accusation of being a Trump supporter, even though they voted for him
It's easy for them to call him a clown, and idiot, a moron
but the choice was clear, for them, the hate for Hillary could not be overcome, anything was better than Hillary
Why did they think that?
The billion dollar smear campaign worked on them
It will work on them next time with a whole new set of clowns
Both sides are not the same, our side will be smeared to high heaven, resist the lies

"What knowledge did you (Trump) have of any outreach by your presidential campaign, including Manafort, to Russia about possible assistance to the campaign?"
Prosecutors never ask questions when they don't know the answers...
Ummm, that little legal bon mot relates to cross examining a witness at trial (and it's not really prosecutor specific), not with discovery (formal or otherwise). (And of course, it's not strictly true, especially when you throw "never" in there, although I suppose it's a useful generalization.)
How do you think the prosecutors (or other lawyers) know the answers to the questions they ask?
But now I should be "corrected" by Kingtut and the rest of the ST know-it-alls . . . .
They need to speak up on the record. A lot of other republicans feel the same way but are too cowardly to say or do anything.
If there were any credible evidence of "collusion," I may be inclined to agree. But since there isn't, what "needs" to happen is Mueller's gotta wrap it up or get his arse canned.
