I'm Fresno-bound this morning. VA van at seven. Appt. at 12:30.

They don't make it convenient, that's for sure.

This is to go over the results of my breathing function test two-plus weeks ago.

The knee swelling's gone but it's still aching.

I can do this, but my heart ain't in it as I haven't really been able to get to sleep...
too much layin' about yesterday recovering from the exertions of the day before.

Andale, vago!

Man-oh-Man!

What a few dedicated hours of sleep does for you. I zonked out soon's I got home and ate something.

The morning went slowly, but once they'd drawn blood I had no choice but to try to doze. I found a spot right under the TV in the waiting room.

And when it was time to see the doc, no one came to see was I there. I went to the bathroom and no sooner did I get zipped than I heard my name.

The interview with the pharmacy expert went a full half hour, then a twenty minute wait for a cardiologist to make his way in to see me.

He gave me the high sign and now I have to wait some more. They will contact me about the surgical procedure.

Whew!

Now if I don't die before I get old, just like Suzy, I'll keep on rockin', I guess.

My septagenarian generation.

Always thought LBJ was a FiAT - Jolly 500 Ghia man:

Should that kid be in a car seat?

Or at least a more upscale Chevy

If you look closely, you’ll notice that this car does have seat belts. However, that was pretty rare for 1965. For most makes and models seat belts were considered an option and were installed by the dealerships at an extra cost.

There were no vanity license plates in LBJ's term in office, were there?

New York was the first state to require automobiles have license plates, beginning in 1901.

The state of California first required its residents to register their motor vehicles in 1905. Registrants had to provide their own license plates for display until 1914, when the state began to supply plates.

In 1956, the U.S. government came to an agreement with the Automobile Manufacturers Association that fixed the size for license plates for automobiles at six inches by twelve inches with standardized mounting holes, and set a 6-digit registration number format.

That plate is clever. Not as slick as BN7 N861 or BJJ74

NOT only a great basketball coach, he knew his way around a strat. Don't spread this around. Walton doesn't even know.

He's no Hoyst Axton, though.
Derivative, I realize.

Standing on the shoulders of giants is often the (a: best; b: only; c: easiest) way to move forward, however.
