Trump asked Comey to use the FBI investigate the possible existence of the "pee pee tape"......
Why would he want to know if there is a tape or not, if he hadn't done the act.
Boy, blatant guilt is hard to read when he can do no wrong.
Basically, everything reported in the Steel Dossier has been confirmed.
or as blah blah says, "nothing to see here, just another manufactured witch hunt."

This is what it is reported that Comey said:
“He just rolled on, unprompted, explaining why it couldn’t possibly be true, ending by saying he was thinking of asking me to investigate the allegation to prove it was a lie. I said it was up to him.”
Want the turth, ask Hemmingway? I thought he was dead (RIP)
Hemingway proposes a simple account of Comey’s interactions with Trump: The FBI director was setting up the president by laying a pretext for a media ambush. “Newly released memos written by former FBI director James Comey indicate that an early 2017 briefing for then-President-elect Donald Trump about the contents of an infamous dossier was held so it could be leaked to media outlets eager to report on the dossier’s allegations,” she writes, faux-authoritatively.

*U.S. Slips Again in World Press Freedom Index
“In 2017, the 45th President of the United States helped sink the country to 45th place by labeling the press an ‘enemy of the American people’ in a series of verbal attacks toward journalists, attempts to block White House access to multiple media outlets, routine use of the term ‘fake news’ in retaliation for critical reporting, and calling for media outlets’ broadcasting licenses to be revoked,” the report from RWB read.

Hard to argue with logic like that . . .

they're both just extremely far fetched musings without any real evidence
You sound like someone declaring that a climbing team jugging to Sickle Ledge will never, ever reach the summit. I have personally heard people say that, while they gawk and make absurd statements from a position of complete ignorance.
And, I've had people tell me, with great fauxthority, "You'll never get a patent on that", two weeks after filing my application for a process that takes at least a year.
And, I would invite you to go to a farm, and tell a big guy on a tractor that he's a fool for sowing his field, because you don't see any evidence of a crop.
The Mueller investigation, and several others, are still in process. They investigators have not yet revealed what they've found, because that would be counter-productive to their investigations.
The evidence already available publicly, including the circumstantial evidence of Trump's non-stop denials, indicates a strong likelihood that Trump's campaign team had contact with Russians, and conspired to pervert the election process.
"He's acting like he's guilty. Now, that could either be because he is guilty, or because he is psychotic. It's one of the two. But, it's not a very good situation to have the President of the United States behaving this way."
Richard Painter, 4-22-2018
Mueller won't be fired when his investigation is done and over with. His mandate as Special Counsel will have expired at that point, and his job will no longer exist. He'll go back into retirement.

Yes, yes - we understand your need to attempt to discredit Mueller. Shoot the messenger/ad hominem. On the evidence, he's a text book prosecutor, who hasn't said a word publicly about his work since he was appointed. There's no evidence whatsoever to impugn his objectivity and credibility.
That's not exactly right--Hannity has done a good job exposing the bias of Mueller's team. (And selecting Mueller in the first place seems a little iffy in light of his relationship with Comey.)
But no matter: addressing this and Tom's comment, we have some common ground--we will wait to see what Mueller comes up with. I'm basically sure it will be nothing that links Trump with any meaningful collusion (which isn't to say he's never spoken with a Russian), have no idea what else Mueller may find.
Muller's been doing is boy scout routine for how long now? And what's he got on Trump, viz-a-viz Russian collusion? Think about it. . . .

yes, the logic is clear
President Trump's own hand picked Republican Attorney General, Mr Magoo, should be fired
tell us again how Trump has raised the image of America across the world?
really, you are a disservice to your own conservative brand
over and over reinforcing the well proven image of the Repub "base"
as being uninformed, misinformed, believing lies and repeating lies
all without a 4th graders level of intellectual curiosity to getting facts first, before going "blah blah"

Whether formal collusion by trump himself on the campaign or just directing a strategy of engaging the Russians, what's clear is the intersection of his [laundering] business interests and abiding love of fellow white nationalists run counter to U.S. security interests on a number of fronts. And when you roll it all up - the election interference, weakening Russian sanctions wherever possible, and tacitly supporting Putin's activities around the globe - it's hard for me to come away with any conclusion other than the lot of this crew are traitors plain and simple.

There is no reasonable response to that statement.

I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters. - Trump
I thought this was an exaggeration, but now I realize it's true. At least for some voters. He could literally murder someone and many people would believe whatever BS they needed to because they don't have the mental fortitude to examine their beliefs and admit they could be wrong.

So Flynn is being prosecuted for lying to the FBI.
McCabe lied at least four times to federal investigators.
Comey may also have lied to Congress when he testified that he had not written his report on the Hillary Clinton email scandal before interviewing Clinton.
Former director of national intelligence James Clapper and former CIA director John Brennan lied under oath to Congress on matters related to surveillance.
Then there's the matter of Hillary's deleted emails (I didn't know they were classified... derp!) and destroyed phones (with hammers). Subtle.
How about using a DNC-funded, unsubstantiated, hit piece as the primary evidence for a FISA warrant.
Last week, a lawsuit was filed in DC District Court accusing the DNC and the Hillary campaign of illegally funneling 84 million dollars into Hillary's coffers.
All of this gets a ho-hum... move along folks... nothing to see here, while we get weeks of Stormy Daniels.
The "trump colluded" story has been investigated for a year and a half. Meuller's scored a few minor wins. But there's still little evidence of Trump colluding with the Russians to win the election. Meanwhile, all these other examples of wrongdoing/corruption get a pass.
Move along.

So if you're accused of something, and you're guilty, you demand that the FBI investigate it????
In Trumpland this is logical. Being the narcissist that he is known to be, he thought he had an "ironclad" alibi, in that he was not in Russia that night.
ha ha
BTW, when is the last time that any U.S. legal authority successfully served a subpoena at the Kremlin?

Yes I’m sure that we’re all very impressed with our post fourth grader understanding of how to influence other people by impugning their intelligence as pre-fourth grader intelligence.
Put those together and you got me.
