Wait, Weld-It lives? Radness!!!!

I received my gift from The Museum over the weekend, I'm going to wait till Christmas to open it but thanks!

Also, my gift is running a little late this year. Don't fret, it'll be there for Christmas.

Happy holidays all!

Bummer. Looks like my package will not be delivered. The tracking number is "not available". Should have been delivered by now but with no phone number and only a PO box, looks like a bust. I tried.

JohnTP - sometimes the post office system doesn't work right but it doesn't mean the package is not in transit correctly.

Meanwhile - do you have the receipt from the transaction? If so, and you have some time, you can go to the post office and they may be able to "go deeper" the online system. I had that with an EBay sale a few years ago - customer railing at me where the hell is the package, and the auto system saying "Heck if I know" but at the post office, they were able to say exactly where it was. It got put on a wrong truck at some point and then they had to reroute it, which took more effort than one would expect, but...it DID get to it's destination.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! Super, Super, Super Secret Santa!!!
A white box came,
nestled there among
the many that greeted me
at the Post Office window.
They dumped them all in a big cart
and rolled it out to the car.
Big heavy brown boxes. Oh, wait . . .
One flat white box,
arriving with this snow.
A smaller box, a tidier box,
too light for rocks.
I put it where we pile presents.
I'd get back to the stack later.
I though it was a great night
for a long, slow unwinding
from a long, winding day.

Then neebee called, and
We talked of the mystery box
That wasn’t rocks,
or a very big box,
but tidy.

She asked,
“Where it was mailed?”
“Snailed from Sacremento,”
I replied.
I had to see
What was inside.
Curiosity, see?
Oh. My. Gosh.

From the Ansel Adams studios,
Clearing Winter Storm

I now have one of my favorite Ansel Adams images, as favorite as El Capitan, Winter, Sunrise, Yosemite National Park, 1968

Secret Santa, I send ten thousand thank yous,
now that I am not so breathless
at the beauty of our playground,
at the beauty of our nest.
As seen through the eyes of one
who saw and walked in beauty.
Thank you for your beautiful and generous gift.

Thank you. It will be hung above my desk, near my photograph by our own ST prezwoods, taken in Arrigetch Peaks of the Brooks Range. Now when I look up, I will see even more beauty. ☺

Thank you. Merry Christmas.
Feralfae

ps his use of light in Clearing Winter Storm has always reminded me of Beirstadt, in the way he used the light and accented the Falls and base. It is a true work of art.

I believe I have received my gift. I am not expecting anything in the mail, and it came from Boulder. I took a limited peek, and see no xmas wrapping, so I am going to wait until the 25th to fully open. Thanks to the sender for getting it here before the 25th.

Had a few people respond to my gift for Simon post. Thanks. Still not too late for others that might want to contribute.

Dear Secret Santa,

I received your gift but I'm going to wait to open it until I get back from visiting with my family. Caz then I will have a gift to look forward to, instead of a sad post-all christmas gift exchanges apartment :)

Thanks for sending so early!! It's by my fireplace and stockings hung with care. (actually really just put up on some nails).

Christie :)

Pretty cool, give a knife and receive a knife. Happy holidays. Thank you so much secret Santa.

Opened early related to impatience and holiday travel. :-)
