It's about a culture of carelessly hostile and violent propaganda, Ron. It's a political party that sees it as fine to use language that marginalizes opponents with violent metaphors while pretending to be completely ignorant to the pile of unstable crazies who might take that crap seriously.

Ahahahaha oh man. So basically after 9/11 anyone who bothered to say "wait a minute, shouldn't we ask WHY these people did what they did? Is just blind retribution really the answer?" were all called unpatriotic and the RNC (with the full support of people like you TGT) set about drawing a clear line between leaders who would keep them safe (Bush/Cheney 04!) and those who would aid and abet terrorists and generally Hate America. Max Cleland (3x amputee who survived the Viet Nam war to become a long term Democratic Senator and all around swell guy and uber-patriot) had his face morphed into Osama bin Ladens for the sake of some more votes and a pile of other insanely insulting things happened which got Dems a little...um...pissed the f*#k off. But alas it is actually you who are the victims of the ceaseless onslaught of extreme statements and propaganda. It was McCain after all who had his nationality questioned in addition to his patriotism. It was Palin who had her religion and Americanism called into question. You poor, poor dear TGT. I can't see how you've stomached to live under these horrible conditions. I'm glad at least you've stopped pretending to not be a Republican. Thanks for finally keeping it real.

Who would bother to purchase a gun illegally in this country? Guns are about the easiest things to buy in America besides baby formula. When are people going to stop believing the hype about gun control? It's literally harder to buy condoms in some places than guns. I had to have a manager paged from across the grocery store and waited 10 minutes for them to find the keys to unlock the condoms. I can buy a gun in about 30 seconds at the local flea market and the gun counter is ALWAYS staffed at Walmart.
