He also burned the hell out of his leg, not far from the top, when the stove tipped over.
Good thing it happened after the monster ow, eh?
And it was Nicole's first wall.

Question: Would that have been the first onsight, no falls, all-free ascent of El Cap? I know Leo came close on El Nino.
Another Question: Have any of the free routes been done with no aid at all during the entire ascent from ground to top? (not necessariy onsight). In other words, no falls, no hangs on the gear or rope, and all belays at no-hands stances?
I'm sure it has, just wondering which routes, and who?

Mike Anderson did a semi-flash of Freerider, IIRC. He had done the Salathe in 'regular guy' style many years prior and said that the route was heaving ticked, again IIRC.

That must of hurt to fall on some easier ground like that.
Just happens sometimes. Happened to me once doing the second ascent of a Shipley test piece. Climbed thru the crux and finally to easier 5.9 ground and thought I had it in the bag.
Foot skates off and it's all over. Hahaha
Ueli still did a real proud ascent .....

Wow, he flashed all the hard pitches, but fell on a wet spot. That's amazing.
Yuji came close to the onsight as well.
I think it's still waiting.

Honnold did a no falls ascent of the salathe, linking the headwall from stance to stance.

Question about hauling. Devils in the details. Leader usually hauls in a party of two. Perhaps his new wife isn't remotely as bad ass as he is (probably) and waiting for her to clean and haul would have just wasted time.

This on top of the eiger speed records is really astounding, it seems the dude is on the top of several games.
With endurance like that he probably hauled just to keep warmed up for the next pitch.
Does anyone know if he is going to try to onsite another wall in the near future?
