Wife and I bought a 80 year old used house that had a Montgomery Ward 50 gallon water heater in it. On the outside of the tank it claimed a 5 year unconditional warranty.

Lasted the 20 years we lived in the house, and it was for sure not new when we got there, so who knows how old it really was. Finally we got fed up with it's continued flawless operation and replaced it with another (and larger) brand of gas unit when we got a Jacuzzi tub.

I would have put it in a rental house, but I had done that with a neighbors water heater, and the top of the tank had popped off as I was wrestling down the stairs.

Duct taped it back on and connected it.

Tenant complained about the duct tape.

If you'd gotten a model 700, you wouldn't have missed.

Blinny, I'd adore one! 2 1/2 acres and only me and my oops! better not used the name of the tool that has been appropriated by the "other side" of correctness. Let's just say shovel...smiles from a hot CA day. lrl

EKat apparently needs goats, or llamas, or some such critters. For grass suppression, and entertainment. Imagine the fun that Skadi would have, too!

Sorry, ekat, misread...thinking more of a tractor to tear up the earth for replanting...not mowing. smiles lynne
