Beautiful Picture,

Won't be a rock climber til they cut their fingernails!

Thanks for the photo, lrl!

IT depends on how tough those finger nails are. I mean, hey, if they are tough like a Fish hook then expect routes like Lunar and a few others to be free (err... well I suppose they still need that thumb so it might be an evolutionary-while)

This is weak.

I was looking for examples of my buddies who climb because they are arborists.

Tree climbing as a hobby? Whatever floats your boat...

P.S.- Nice sloth, beautiful creatures, those.

How do you know it's a guy? (...besides lots of spray, move-by-move beta, and frequent use of the word 'bro'...)

Very cool photo, Bob. (It got buried long before I ever saw it.) Have any more? I love these guys.

L...this guy/girl was cranking...at least by sloth standards.

We saw him/her on the way to dinner...the light wasn't great.

Pretty amazing, cranking 5.13tree in slo-mo. I occasionally try to do a route or boulder problem really slowly...gawd does that kill your forearms!

Ah, to be as strong as a sloth...

Thanks for the follow-up photo.

The tree climinb site.

Geez, let some kids go and climb like a child, what we tell noobs to do. I started climbing trees and it was not safe. My tree house (platform) was a death fall. Some kids joined me, some did not. Dynos from the patform to branches. Follow me. None did.

Later on, when my climbing ability was recognized, I was asked to climb pecan trees to shake the nuts off. Dangerous sh#t for sure. Pecan branches die and become very brittle. Stand on one and shake it and you better have hands on something solid.

I still love to climb trees.

Primal. Childish. Good.
