I don't see how this could not pass. When we voted on this before it passed overwhelmingly. The only difference this time is it would modify the constitution to make our votes count.

I believe that a lot of well meaning voters felt duped (not doped) after the dust cleared.
Exposes on the ease of getting prescriptions and the fact that such a large percentage of
patients who required this medication had GDead bumper stickers made folks think that they
had been fooled.
But, we’ll see. Won’t we ?

actually, as time passes, the older folks die and the younger folks are allowed to vote, so this and other more progressive points of view are becoming ever more popular.

acceptance of gay marriage increases as age decreases, generally speaking.

The link is about a local pot ordinance in Mendocino County, not gay marriage.

What does this have to do with gay marriage?

Also check out Prop 215 guidelines

In California there is no state regulation or standard of the cultivation and/or distribution medical marijuana. California leaves the establishment of any guidelines to local jurisdictions, which can widely vary. For example, Marin County allows up to six mature plants, and/or a half-pound dried marijuana. It's neighbor, Sonoma County permits possession of three pounds of marijuana, and allows cultivation up to 99 plants, and physicians may recommend more for "exceptional patients."

I grew up in Mendo and it was widely recognized as Mendo counties #1 cash crop.

This will change nothing, except burden the Sheriff's department and the court system, which ultimately burdens taxpayers.
