Any recs on a 3 week climbing destination for late Sept/early Oct - needs to be somewhat 'kid' friendly (i.e. single pitch primarily)?
Europe or Australia destinations?
Oh...also...mom and pop prefer trad.

Gunks -- Great time of year, easy access, other things to do with the kids. Plenty of single pitch fun. Downside -- crowds.
Other good places:
Yosemite
North Conway
JT
Smith
Have fun.

We had a great time in the City of Rocks. I don't know if the fall weather will be too cool- we used to go in early august.

Yosemite is very nice at that time of year, and apart from weekends, starting to quieten down. And the FaceLift is from September 24th - 28th. Last year we had a lot of families and young people helping, and the SuperTopo contingent mostly stayed at the group camping in Yellow Pines, where we had various group events.
Plus you get into the park free, and there's free camping - as long as you're helping with the FaceLift.
It would be fun to have some sort of informal child care as part of the SuperTopo FaceLift event. There are enough parents and kids, and young people, that it's worth thinking about.

That baby needs a wingsuit - sooooo naturally aerodynamic! (Or is that a primitive/brainstem posture for "I don't want to die?")
