I'll be in Joshua Tree - didn't realize Easter happened in the timeframe.
So.....is there an easter egg hunt, or egg decorating or anything that is a Jtree tradition? It might be fun to make some of those hollowed out decorated eggs and put them up on a campsite bush.

Easter weekend of next year, I'm getting married.
This yeah, I dunno. Probably something sacrilegious, I'd guess.

Last year we went to Malibu Creek, climbed for a crowd of Jeebus Heads and then spent time cleaning up after they left a mess in his honor. Oddly enough, a couple days later when I went on a hike in Griffith Park I found remnants of the same festivities. Not just the oh-so-earth-friendly plastic straw and egg shells, but lots of religious tracts scattered about heralding His return, so don't try and blame it on a bunny.
This year will probably be spent in much the same way, but hopefully the faithful will abstain from 'spreading the good word' over the sands of Joshua Tree.

Heading to see family in Baton Rouge/New Orleans. No rock around but I will definitely be eating like a sow on all that good food.
Enjoy the climbing and may the weather cooperate!
