I want to get back on skis again after a 15 year vacation--classic nordic to start, but maybe skates for next year. But i will almost certainly need modified boots (i.e., a reshaped plastic shell to accommodate my wide and asym forefoot).

Can someone recommend a norcal bootfitter who does nordic stuff?

Hi! I could sell you used (slightly) XC gear for the right price at my place of work. It would require a trip up to the Sierra but the price would be right. Email me for details. Brandon-

Brandon-- used Fischers or something similar would be swell-- the main issue is boots. I'll probably have to have my shells heat shaped.

Up in Truckee there are two master boot fitters, who both have some experience with nordic boots, one is Jim at the Start Haus, the other is Cosmo at Cosmos', both should be listed.

Thanks for the help-- I'm really looking forward to getting out again. I skiied really seriously for about ten years, but that was so long ago that I learned to Tele in low-cut leathers that looked like soccer shoes.
