Hoss Julia is coming to town! So it's time to gathers the group and get together to welcome her!
When: Saturday, April 14, 2012
Time: 6:30 pm.
Where: Old Chicago in Superior (100 Superior Plaza Way, Superior, CO 80027-1975, (720) 304-2048). This is right next to Superior Liquor at the intersection of Hwy 36 at McCaslin).
You guys know the drill. Let me know who will be there and I'll get reservations taken care of. Old Chicago loves the Supertopo gang.

flying into Colorado Springs the night of the 13th....if I'm free maybe I can drive up and join in! Be there for 3 LONG weeks working with the Wounded Warrior Games, WUD be GUD to see everyone.

As far as a change of venue...I'm all ears. When we started this, we tried many places. If they are in Boulder, the Denver folks (especially those out east and way south) didn't come. And parking was very difficult. And the restaurants were crowded (and in some cases so noisy we couldn't even communicate) so we felt the pressure to clear the table. Agave (where Prod and Christa's welcome was) was awesome but $$$$$$. The so-called HH was not.
So, we found it's best to go a wee bit south of Boulder where we can camp out all night and have lots of parking. Suggestions? We can do the next one there.

Let's keep them at the Old Chicago...it's really a matter of convenience, and ambiance by the management.
I think I'll be able to make it, depending on whether or not my airplane is repaired by then. I need to do a short checkride for my high performance logbook endorsement Saturday. If it's early enough and I'm finished, I'll drive down.
I was sorry to miss the last one.

Stich, you know Vinney Comiskey? Yeah, I don't know what my assignments will be yet, but would be good to hook up. I'll be at Fort Carson working with cycling and whatever else they assign to me. I think we may be at the OTC from time to time. We will talk.

Werner, if you chaperone, bring Charley with you. Just make sure
you clean him up a bit, he looks even scruffier than a climber these days.
Dern, Nature, I'm volunteering at the American Mountaineering Museum tomorrow night, playing bartender. . .
Next time. . . (and we gotta get out climbing, 'er, prancing, one of these days too)!!!

Yeah Stich, I don't know what my assignments will be till I get there, but I know I will be working like a horse, we hosted the trials and I got in almost 120 hrs in like 9 days, so for a 3 week period, it's gonna be BRUTAL....so I figure I need a day to get it going with friends. Ya know the pre horror show party and what a better crew to get it going, Rodger, Roy, Callie and the rest would make me psych to go bust butt at the Games.
Hope I can make it and if not.....you'll have to show us Colorado Springs, I've never been, but I'll be riding, maybe bouldering and fly fishing with an old friend Scott Erler and his wife Robyn.
